Hmmm who complained about this in the first place? Seems nothing wrong with BYU-I having their own campus Police.

It makes sense to me. BYU-I is an educational institution and not a law enforcement agency. Campus security is a good thing. Rexburg police are great at what they do. I am glad to have the division occur. It has been a long time coming and will only benefit the community.

Politics, that's all it is. They even used the word themselves. If they want us to butt out of "their business" they should butt out of ours.

Was Coca Cola illegal under the church police?

Who's responsible for enforcing all the rules? I don't mean the laws, but all the campus rules, like the one that forbids wearing overalls? I would think it would take police weeks to learn them all.

To the last two commentators,

You both are totally ignorant of the systems in place for maintaining the roles. It is an honor code because it is built around your own affirmation of the rules.

The police at BYU and BYU-Idaho enforce anti-trespassing laws, they enforce laws against disorderly conduct and they enforce the violation of other laws.

They do not try to regulate behavior that is legal. They are about stopping theft, not about regulating what people eat or drink.
