Hunger is a tough problem, soo tough. There is enough for everyone, theres a host of problems getting it spread around though.

I came from a third world country and had real life experience on hunger, though I consider myself fortunate to not experience the worst kind of poverty, nevertheless, it gave me reason to do my best and improve my situation.
Poverty because there is not enough is different from poverty because someone is lazy. I support cause to end world hunger, but would not concede to those who doesn't work to feed themselves when they are able.
We should be compassionate but not ignorant because not all that call themselves poor and desperate are worthy of the help. We are only supporting their wrong ways and not helping them to be self-sufficient.

Props to the U for holding this activity. So many of us live our lives not thinking about things like this. We can solve world hunger its just a matter of not having the will or the desire and it is very sad indeed. While I agree that it doesn't seem fair to feed someone who is not willing to work for themselves, I would like to add that there could be any number of reasons why they seem to us to be "lazy". You never know what is happening in a person's mind, where they have been, and why they do the things that they do. I would rather see everyone have enough food whether they are quote "lazy" or not and let God, if there is a God, sort out which ones actually deserve to be punished for being lazy. Of coarse, its a dog eat dog world and nobody wants to take care of everybody else, especially if it seems they are not doing their share. I call it tragic and hope humanity can and will find it in themselves to someday do more.
