Great article about a serious and real condition. I like the point about the degrees being the only thing that separates us from each other. I have wondered at times where I stand, which is pretty much the same as you describe for yourself, Ann.

There are many types of illness lumped into the mental illness basket--Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, Depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorders, etc., ADD, etc. Many people with these problems are functional and so it isn't apparent that they have a problem.
I think if we open our eyes and realize they are common problems we won't be as afraid of them. The label is scarier than the condition in most cases, and keeps us from giving people a helping hand because we are afraid of them.
