Stunning Palin disclosures steal thunder

At least her judgment is no worse than McCain's.
Obama's response was classy. He looks better all the time.
Just imagine if this had been one of Obama's daughters. The right-wing, family values crowd would have crucified them.
Democrats telling me about pre-natal care and the correct age of a birth mother?
I thought partial birth abortion was the extent of their knowledge concerning pre-natal care?
Reminds me of the fox telling us the hen house is safe under his watchful GAZE.
Sheeeesh.
Instead of the rush to jump on the bandwagon with McCain and Palin Mormons would do well to take a deep breath and a long look before following the 'evangelical' lead this time.
First of all folks, don't let these "life experiences" that happen to a lot of good people, taint your judgement - don't play into the media. Secondly, don't you think 20 years is long enough that we should forgive and forget her husband's DUI? And thirdly, why is a pregnant daughter an automatic license for condemnation of her parents?
Regarding the termination of a state employee, let it play out. She's a bright enough woman, that I rather doubt there was a personal motivation.
Even though Obama stated that families and "especially children" are off-limits, you watch, as unimportant as these issues are to her qualifications and selection, the liberals and the media won't let it rest.
Palin has more experience than Obama and he wants to be President. So be careful where you take this democrats. You won't be able to use the race card to push um back once it all starts.
Palin has over a 90% approval rating in Alaska. You won't find that anywhere else.
The drunk driving incident with her hubby was two decades ago. Seems like he has grown up a bit IF that is the best the mud slingers can find.
Sarah Palin wasn't vetted, that's clear. I just don't believe McCain's savvy Washington pros would have chosen to bring this scandal into the campaign. It makes McCain look ridiculous.
I was going to vote for McCain because I am mostly conservative in my views, but now I think McCain is nuts and can't be trusted to make wise and conservative decisions.
As for an offense 20 years ago...a lot changes in 20 years.
I don't think Palin was the best choice for VP, but it's not because of her family.
And it's not Palin who is killing the Republican Party. It's the Republican elected officials' lack of vision, their lack of creativity, their inability to work with the other side, their lack of courage to make hard, right, inspiring, challenging decisions and carry them out. Coincidentally, that's the same thing that is killing the Democratic Party.
The Republicans had two moments in history recently where they could have changed the world-- when they held the presidency and both houses, and right after 9/11 when President Bush had 90% approval rating across the world. In both cases they blew it. They might have again blown it with Palin, but not because of her family.
Now, that said, who would you pick? An insider? Well that is just what B. Hussein O. did with Biden, after saying that he was "Change You Can Believe In". What a crock!!!! B. Hussein O. is nothing more that business as usual and is more and more ARROGANT than one could ever imagine.
More important to ask is who will be able to discuss issues with Putin. Based on his recent tiger hunt, I would have to write that Palin would be able to play good 'ole boy far better than even Obama and he is running for President.
Obviously, she is a fast climber. 80% of the voters in her state like her, but that was before these latest two scandals. She has no experience in foreign affairs and would have to rely on "experts" in the cabinet (think Rove, Cheney, and you get goose bumps). She really has no experience, less than two years, as an administrator.
Now we discover that she said YES to McCain though she knew that the daughter was pg and would soon be the attention of the media. Palin could not resist the glory of running for vp, she did not know she was underqualified at any speed. She is all giggles, shouts, and sureness: as we say, she doesn't know what she doesn't know.
McCain passed up qualified people to select her? Seriously? Really? How about the female senator from Maine who is very well qualified and does not have children to watch every day.
Palin is out of her league, and McCain showed very poor judgement.
To vote gop this year is to admit that you hate America and her future.
this albatross hands the election to the democrats.
(Yes, how old is the boyfriend, the father of the child? "Levi"? How many Levis are there in this world... in Alaska...???? Is he older, much older than her? If so, where was mom???????)
Stop trying to scare people, you're just making want to vote for Obama because it looks like there's no positive argument for McCain.
(PS. How nuts is this Palin story?)
I think the media senses that their "walking on water candidate" Obama's chances of a November victory are rapidly slipping away.
The best man for the job was a woman.
You might want to check that. First of all, no one, and I mean NO ONE has claimed she has a 90% approval rate. They have quoted a 70-80% approval rating but that has been plummeting in the last three months of Troopergate.
And in a recent poll, 87% of Alaskans believed she lied about Troopergate (and she did; she is on record as saying she exerted no influence, and no one did on her behalf, then a recorded call turned up - suddenly she says she may have).
She claims to be about reforms: lets look at her record of procuring $40 million in Federal earmarks (pork barrel spending) for a 7,000 pop. village.
And finally, she claims to have told Congress "no way" on the Bridge to Nowhere. But she campaigned, and won as governor campaigning FOR IT. She only changed her tune when the national flak hit the fan.
There are many more reason to distrust the skills of Sarah Palin, than her parenting or personal life.
Keep the eye on her 1) record and 2) her qualifications.
And those who are swayed by the media Borking of Palin need to wake up to the arrogance and hypocrisy of the media, including, sadly in this case, the DN. The drivers of the media are seeking to destroy that which threatens them and their communistic/ socialistic agenda.
The DN should be ashamed for dignifying and amplifying the Borking spin with the headline of "Stunning Disclosures." They are not stunning. And amplifying them in a headline with such dramatic hyperbole is completely counter productive to what the DN should be all about.
How can conservatives (particularly Mormons) be happy to support a mother of 5 young children (the youngest less than a year old with Downs Syndrome) who wants to leave her family in the care of who knows who to go out and try to run the most powerful country in the world? If you want to be the ultimate career woman, fine, but don't continue having babies you're not planning on raising. Her family is falling apart and she ought to be there, not Washington D.C.
John McCain proved himself incapable of making effective Presidential decisions with this poorly- researched pick.
Sarah needs to spend more time with her children. McCain is too old to be President. He was taken in my Sarah's good looks. He deserves to lose this election. Obama is a poor choice as well. We don't have much to choose from this election. Heaven help us this next 4 years.
Massachusetts last year remember? The girls made some kind of pact. Check out Midvales teen pregnancy rate? It happenes everywhere. parents cant completely control their children, children make their OWN decisions. People say she should resign should move to cuba and be part of the communist party. I wouldnt vote for McCain or Obama.
I do hope, however, Palin realizes "abstinence only" sex ed is a failed policy.
Now it is time to sling the wet dirt. This should be fun and exciting. You are the greatest hypocrites the world over.
Get ready for the talking points that will be heard - add nausium - from the so called media.
Do a favor and ask yourselves if it is not odd that the media says the same lines from the different talking heads on every channel? remember "he has no gravitas"!
