Yes, some of the starting D was subbed out, but not too many. I understand not wanting to allow another score, but rotating in more players can only help the team in the future (of this season and next). I'd like to see more second stringers in with the game out of reach just to give that added game-time experience that you can't learn in practice. Maybe that will come as the season progresses.

How can it ever come around? Timpview seems to have an endless supply of superior talent. I don't see any end in sight to their domination of 4A.

Give me a break. In all my years of watching Spanish Fork I have never known their fans to be whiners. You must have a son who isn't a starter and who didn't get to play.

FYI I am not a fan of SF-Getting caught means they got caught in their little lies of "Oh our JV killed your team-the starters never finish a game" statements that always come from TV fans. Not true.. Just a fan of HS Football that has lost a ton of integrity because of things like this situation in that area..

This game went downhill for SF on the first offensive series for the Dons. 4th and 1 from the 29? Who goes for it that early in the game? As usual, Play calling lost the game for the Dons.

The announcers on KJZZ kept saying how TV was one of the few teams in the state that players don't play both ways, they specialize in their position. Why doesn't everyone learn from this, especially SF. TV has had a great program for years and State titles. There are plenty of players on SF sideline that could play so that the so-called stars could just play one position. (Could the reserves have done any worse?) During the preseason, the coach talked about how much depth they have at each position.. Why don't they use it?

timpview is the best high schoo team ever... we can beat alta and bingham but we might struggle with skyline. when alta won vs bingham, it was a fluke, however if alta had brantley dunn they would have shut bingham out!!!

They get worked up, because you use everyone else's athletes. Use your own kids and nobody says a word. Of course, you wouldn't be winning then.

I understand the frustration expressed by others towards Timpview's dominance of high school football with the great players they have accumulated. This happens in all sports. Spanish Fork traditionally competes for state baseball championships. Provo competes for the state championship in basketball. Cottonwood has become dominant in football in Salt Lake. If you're a great musician, you go to American Fork to be in the best band in the state. Better players want to play for the best teams. Happens in all sports. The BYU roster has 15 former TV players. If you think you're good enough to play D1 football, it is a natural that you'd play for a school that has that tradition. In addition, TV coaches are college quality. It is a result of Utah's open enrollment policy.

TV does not Recruit players- BYU does though and TV benefits..Thanks to Bronco and the rest of the coaching staff TV always "attracts" new players.

I was at the game and noticed that timpview left in their entire D-Line the whole game, and Yes, I do believe it was very classless, Just Being TimpView.

Was Spanish Fork's 1st team offense in the entire game? Yes, they were. TV's starting entire starting D was not in the entire game. But I'm sure it was hard for you to see that through your tears.

It is only classless in your eyes because you lost. I guarantee that had Spanish Fork been winning, your Head Coach WOULD NOT have put your 2 deep and JV guys in the game AT ALL!

i dont know why every one gets so worked up...timpview played a good game and spanish fork just had to many missed Assignments. there d-line did not contain the counter, but they had the t-birds on the screen. there was that one when a SF kid almost picked it off and if he did, who knows how the game would have gone for spanish forks.there d is good at reading the play but are slow to get to the ball. The t-birds did awesome at sticking to there blocks and running hard. So stop fighting, the game is over and the better team one. suck it up and go T-Birds!

You SF fans can say whatever you want, but at last years Payson game you guys had your starters in the whole game as well. SF was up by 20 with about 5 minutes left in the game and the starting offense came out on the field. The starting quarterback then through a 80 yard touchdown, yes they were passing at this point, to Antonio Gates, oh I mean Richard Wilson. This was totally CLASSLESS oh mighty donnies. Final score: SF 50, Payson 24. So you are right, what goes around, comes around.

T-View is a great team, SF is average and the score reflected that. Payson fan why are you writting on this? Do you really think Payson has any shot at SF or T View? Both teams could score 100 on Payson. By the way a 20 point lead with half a quarter left is not an automatic switch to your backups. I remember the play very well. Spanish went one more series with their starters and ran a short drag across the middle on 3rd and long. It would not have been as open as it was if Payson had not been blitzing. A 5 yard completion that end up going for 60 yards because nobody can catch the kid or tackle and is so open because you are still blitzing is nobodys fault, its just football. T-View is the best team in Utah and SF needs some serious help on D.

I agree the TV/SF game is over let it go. SF is famous for over-playing the same guys in football and basketball. TV had an offensive squad and a defensive squad. They had rested, fresh players who know their position. Is SF lacking so much that the same guys need to play both ways. Players give up alot to be on these teams, time with family, summer break, time after school, to do what? Sit on the sideline. SF needs to quit whining and admit that they were outplayed and outcoached. When something isn't working maybe we should change things up, are there no other qualified players that can come in and do something? What do the other 30 SF players do during practice that their coaches have so little faith in their ability? As for the Payson/SF game never say never.
