If undercover stings like the one that got this guy are not permissible in Sweden, you can bet he'll be doing this very same thing once he gets home. Seems like he (and his consulate) are more concerned about the way he got caught than the conduct he was engaged in. The fact is, he tried to arrange a sexual encounter with a person he thought was 13. It's a shame the Swedes won't be able to ensure he doesn't do it again over there.

No it's not legal to "provoke" crimes in Sweden. But, it's a shame that you could be right. Let's hope for all we can that he really understood that this kind of things are NOT okey.

Ok, let us understand this, he committed a crime in Utah that gets him 15 years for trying to meet a 13 yoa female and in his native county this type of sting is not permited.Then why is he being sent back to Sweden? They not going to do anything to him. This pervert needs to be in a prison period. If an american did this in Sweden we bet our pay checks that he would get prison time. Maybe the judge in this case needs to be monitored by the community. Hopefully this guy will get flushed down the plane's toilet while the flight is over the Bermuda triangle....
