Thanks for ruining it.. | 12:52 a.m. Aug. 24, 2008
I hate it when that happens. I'm planning on watching the game, but now find out who won before it even started.

Your efforts to get the news out in a newsworthy manner just took the suspense out of the game for me...

Atleast I can see the basketball game live....

Two former coaches from BYU and two former players from BYU, that's what!

The news of the win is all over the map, shut yourself off if you don't want the information.
The replay will be on NBC, prime time, tonight.

I thought that the game was live tonight and was going to watch it. If I had known that it was already played I would not have checked the news. Glad for their win, sad that it isn't a surprise now.
Dont blame Des News | 4:08 p.m. Aug. 24, 2008
for ruining the game. Bleme NBC. This game was played live in Canada and many other countires. I was lucky to watch the game on the internet from Sweden. NBC's monopolized coverage of the games was very poor and only because of Phelps will their disastrous coverage be overlooked because they will go on and on about their ratings.

Now, if Scott Pierce does some puff piece about how good the NBC coverage was - then its time to come down hard on the Des News.
I have wondered? | 5:49 p.m. Aug. 24, 2008
I know that the coach played at BYU, I was wondering if he or his wifes family are members of the LDS church? I watched and interview with him the other day, and I really admired him for his courage to move forward and see this to the end, I am sure that the victory was a joy for his wife and mother-in-law back here in the states. Good luck to her in her recovery.

Congrats, Hugh, on a great job despite some very tough adversity. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of joy and grief.
