Utah Demo, 18, elected delegate to convention

Its not easy being a Democrat in Utah. We need young people who aren't blind followers and can become leaders. I applaud Jordan for resisting the Utah herd mentality and supporting the party of regular families as opposed to the party of millionaires.

Congratulation, and good work, Jordan. It is great to see people this young so involved in the political process. The apparent apathy of so many is perhaps more dangerous to the future of our democratic institutions than what political party one allies with. Keep up the good work!

I applaud you for recognizing the gerrymandering that took place in the "blue districts" of Utah, which split them to make voting difficult. Thanks for getting some action there, and hopefully, our legislature will grow in Democracy so that the districts can be reshaped to reflect their constituencies.

John Edwards and John Kerry are millionaires. Elitist Hollywood has money flowing fast and morals free. Obama wants to raise taxes and thinks government knows best. Welcome to your democratic party.

I applaud his involvement, but hope that as he matures and learns he will see the failures of the liberal policies and become a staunch conservative.

It's great to see people (of any age!) who get past the apathy and the feeling that "nothing I do will make a difference anyway", and who get involved in the community. Way to go, Jordan!

McCain has net assets of between $20 million and $32 million, making him the seventh wealthiest member of the Senate. His wealth is tied to Cindy Hensley McCain, his second wife and heiress to Hensley & Co., a major Anheuser-Busch distributor.

He has as much experience as their nominee...

At least he doesn't represent the old war-monger geezer with the comb over. Where were McCain's conservative values when he was cheating on his first wife and dumping her for the younger richer wife? Class act. Our nation is so much worse off thanks to the last 8 year's administration, and the Republicans are promising more of the same.

Eight years ago, then Governor George W. Bush revealingly joked about his backers at the 2000 Al Smith Dinner:

"This is an impressive crowd - the haves and the have-mores," Bush said, adding, "Some people call you the elites; I call you my base."

The article was about getting involved at a young age, and the young man in the article has certainly done that. I don't agree with his choices, but he is certainly involved and not one of those who have lost their minds in video games or partying every night.

How does the saying go? Oh yeah, �if your not a liberal when your 20 your heartless, if your not a conservative when your 40 your brainless.� A lot of brainless people out there.

Good for you, Jordan. Don't listen to these Conservatives (what are they conserving, anyway?). No Conservative has EVER taken this country forward in any meaningful way. Harding, Hoover, W Bush . . . where do they get these candidates, anyway?
