That hasn't happened either. I don't know what all the flack is about. Democrats practically never attack Republicans. Except every chance they get.

For "Romney Is A Liar": You sure don't sound like a mormon to me; I think you are faking it! Give us the documentation of when Mitt ever denied "that God has spoken to Joseph Smith." I bet you can't!

Instead of ad homeniem attacks, look at what the man has DONE in company after company, in MA and the Olympics. Pretty impressive.

And frankly, the only people who don't change their minds and opinions are either not thoughtful or dead. I certainly don't want a president who can't recognize previous faulty thinking and consider new information.

As for whether he should be VP, I would rather see him sit this election out and run for President in 4 years after Obama has practically torn the constitution to shreds and Americans are shellshocked. If he hooks up with McCain, win or lose, he loses.

I've always thought Romney suspended his campaign a little early, and in the back of my mind I thought "Maybe he and McCain have a deal." Mitt was Mcain's only true competition. McCain's admits he knows zilch about the economy and leans too far left on certain issues near and dear to Republicans of the right. Romney is perfect. I used to think he was artificial, almost robotic, until I really stopped and just listened to what he said. The man is brilliant. If anyone can help our hurting economy its Mitt. If the evangelicals don't want to vote for him, too bad-they are nothing more than religious bigots. We have the dems screaming "race" and the reps screaming "religion" Dumb and dumber.

Romney is not the the most intellectually inconsistent politician in the history of politics. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., said "I have never seen anyone so completely without any commitment to any particular principle and so willing to say whatever he thinks will help him win the next election."

Romney is for defining marriage by what it is and always has been - a union between a man and a woman - so it's no wonder that the ultra divisive censured liberal - and GAY - congressman from Massachusetts Barney Frank is vehemently against him. I'm reading a brand new book that talks about Mitt Romney's campaign and the attacks he took about his religion. The book is found on Amazon.com and is called A Different God? If you knew anything about the mormon church, you would know that the plot you just described goes exactly against the tenets of the mormon church. And Joseph Smith ran for president to raise national awareness of the terrible plight of the mormons, since spineless politicians wouldn't help. Since leaders of the church (including Smith himself) spoke with the President of the U.S. personally, and the government STILL would not help stop the slaughter of the mormons in Missouri. Martin Van Buren to Joseph Smith: "Your cause is just, but I can do nothing for you ... I cannot lose the state of Missouri."

I shutter at the notion of a McCain victory, but even I would advise him to steer clear of Romney.

Okay, here goes:

Mitt took the 2002 winter olympics from dissaster and turned it into one of the greatest winter olympics ever put on. And, he had money left over.

Mitt was elected as a Republican Governor in Massachusetts where the population is roughly 85% Democrat.

Massachusetts was $1 billion in the red with a lousy credit rating. When he left office 4 years later Mass was $3 billion in the black and had a very healthy credit rating. (It took the current Democrat governor roughly 6 months to put Mass right back where it had been when Mitt had taken over, in the hole and looking for more ways to get money from the tax payers.)

I've known Mitt for about 20 years and he is a man of great integrity. Now I'm working on McCain's committe here in NH and hope that he really does choose Mitt for his VP. If he does, look out Obama.

I thinks the Dems smell that it will be Romney for 2 reasons. 1)He will get the conservative movement on fire 2)Romney will bring in lot of money. Jindal won't take the job. Sarah Palin has a scandal of her own with firing head of public safety. Tom Ridge is not going fireup the conservatives to vote. Crist and Pawelnty could bring in the conservatives, but I don't think the campaign funds would come in like Romney.
campaign funds are like oxygen, when you are out you don't survive.
I think it is interesting that are mainly attacking Mitt on flip flops. I think this will go nowhere since Barack over the past 2 months has been flipping and flopping more than Mitt in his whole political carrier.
If McCain does this right and picks Romney and shows the Dems for who they are, Republicans can win in '08

Mitt Romney puts ANY of them to shame and the fact that he has changed his mind (for good reason) on abortion pales in comparison to how often the closet Muslim, Osamabama changes HIS on everything.

McCain is clearly the best democrat in this race.
In fact he is the ONLY democrat in the race given the democratic party's move toward socialism.

Romney would be the ONLY conservative in the race and given that fact I doubt McCain will choose him. Bet on another democrat in republican clothing like Lindsey Graham or heaven forbid Joe Lieberman.

Romney has been, and still is. the most intelligent, qualified candidate

However, he lacks charisma as does McCain so I don't think he would be a good draw for voters. I expect McCain to choose Lieberman which will certainly cost him the election.

But if he chooses the Alaskan governor, he will win... hands-down.

I'm not a Mormon. But I would vote for Mitt Romney in a heartbeat. I'm not a Muslim, and I would NEVER vote for B Obama.
I saw a 'voter' in the NH primary who, when Mitt approached him with hand extended, folded his arms, looked Romney in the eye and said "I'll NEVER vote for a Mormon." Never saw anyone do anything smilar to obama.
Yet the media calls us all racists because obama isnt leading, as they suppose he should be, by a 25% margin. God help us if fundamentalist Christians prevent the election of a good, intelligent man who has America's interests at heart and who happens to be mormon and rather abet the election of a man whose religion is at best subject to debate and who, even if he is "Christian", belongs to a vile, hateful sect of anti-white "christians". The man is the biggest danger to America since Hitler and Tojo and yet the sheeple are preparing to innaugurate him. Certainly argues for PT Barnum's opinion of Americans.

The thing to remember about Massachusetts, despite the 40,000 job loss and the gloom that Walsh depicted during Romney's time in office is that the state legislature holds a democratic super-majority. The legislature absolutely runs the show in that state regardless of who has the corner office...think I'm kidding, ask Deval Patrick. He's cut from the same cloth as Obama, speaks of change and hope, etc., but ultimately, he has done next to nothing as governor, despite the D next to his name. The legislature in Massachusetts holds much more clout and responsibility for the state's poor economic growth than any governor could possibly be held accountable for.
