Uintah has a good shot at going 6-3 this year if they come together. They have some good kids, and I think their defense will be their strength, but I am afraid their offense may be a little anemic. I hope they will surprise me and most of the state with a turn-around season. They really have a lot of potential, and I think they will improve drastically this year.

It was good to see the Utes get rid of the 4-A teams off their schedule...I saw them play Orem (who wasn't exactly that great) and it was ugly. I know the UHSAA is considering moving Uintah up to 4-A in the next alignment so the Utes do need to step up their game but perhaps the best way for them to do that right now is win some games and get some confidence...

Also, do the Utes have any wrestlers playing football? Those wrestlers out there are tough!

I feel sorry for the Utes. First game of the season, Desert Hills and they lose again. The article talks about the lack of leadership, that responsibility starts with the coach. What ever hes doing isnt working. Union had a new coach last year and did great. I believe a team is a reflection of the coaches ability to coach.

You darn right we want to see the leadership improve, coaches want kids to "step up " I think the coaches need to do some stepping. 1-9 record last year and like bulldog said it doesn't look like we will win anymore...our kids are better than that

these kids arent inexperienced, they have been playing since they were little. Dont put the blame on them.

uintah has gone through a few head coaches over the past few years and nother has seemed to work for them.

I beleive that uintah has one of the greatest coaches in all the state and that uintah is really stepping it up this year from what i have seen after the desert hills game. I think that they have worked hard this year and will do good in the region games

any wins that the utes pick up this year will have nothin whatsoever to do with their coaches. i know every player on that team has more will and desire to win than the coaches do. that coaching staff is probably one of the worst ones in the state of utah.

i wish the community would've seen some leadership in football this year, not from the kids end because there was plenty there, but from the coaches end. i don't even have a problem with the head coach because he's a breath of fresh air around here. however it's too bad he let the offensive coordinator walk all over his decisions. we need a change on the offensive side of things because it's horrible and there's certainly no responible leadership there.

I really dont think he walked all over the head coach. The two of them just dont have what it takes to coach a team. Watch the side lines. Most of the other coaches are standing in the background not saying much. And I have to disagree about the head coach being a breath of fresh air. He doesnt stand by his word. He makes promises to the boys he doesnt keep and he is just plain rude.
