How horrible is this? The poor child is attacked and then has to deal with her mother's violent death. This man is evil. You can't tell me this was this man's first crime. We need Oxbow opened.
This mother died a hero. She obviously was protecting the most important part of her life -- her daughter. Her family, her students, her community have lost a tremendous individual.
I realize this is complete inappropriate, but couldn't the D-news find a better picture than Ben Pender's armpit?

Oh my dear Molly, I am in shock, I just found out. How could he be so selfish to take you away from all of us. Molly was all about her family. She lived for her family. Myself and 7 other friends from high school played bunco with Molly for years. Your humor, laughter, playful nature and sweet loving kind heart will be greatly missed by all. To Molly's family, I am so sorry for your loss. So tragic.. I don't understand it..

Molly was a "wonderful" person.
Those who know her will remember that she always had a smile on her face. She was kind, gracious, giving, loving, unselfish, and full of goodness.
I know that... more than anything...she loved her children :-) She would talk about them all the time. She loved my children also and for that I am very grateful and fortunate.
How sad that such a wonderful person was taken so early and in such a tragic way. Now she will be in heaven to watch over her children... and I know she will. She will not leave them alone, she will always be there because of her great love for them.
Kids - just remember that she will always be watching over you. I know she loves you "very much" - you are her life! God bless all of you.
So sad - love you Molly!

All those from California whom she kept in touch with over the years will miss her bright smile and the efforts she made to keep us connected through inviting us to her family events. We send thoughts and prayers of peace and comort to her family. She was the "sunshine" of many lives.

We were expecting to see Molly on Friday Evening and began to worry about her when she didn't show up at our home. Carly was going to babysit for us. I was completely shocked when I heard this terrible news. How could this be when I had just spoke with her.
Our son was in Molly's 2nd grade class this year. I was suprised to see her at nearly every little league baseball game he had this year. He loved her so much! He is heart broken. It was very difficult to explain what happened to an 8 yr old.
I gladly helped her get some tickets to the Dominican Republic this Summer so she could take a couple of her kids there. When she got back she even came to visit us at our home bringing my son some coins from the country so he could start a coin collection from around the world.
My family and I have been honored to have known her and her example will live on with those who love her. She will be deeply missed, and we will look forward to meeting her again.

I am SO SORRY. I was out of town this weekend, but when I received the phone call on Saturday, this news broke my heart and mad me very angry. Molly was a truly lovely, beautiful, kind, sweet, lady. You kids and spouses are also wonderful people. She talked so highly of you all and loved you all so much. I feel so badly for you at this time. What a tradgy that she left us at such an early age and was taken in such a way. I am sure that Molly and her mother are hugging each other and that they are praying for the family, as are the rest of us. Love her dearly, be strong but cry, and remember the GOOD times. I am so sorry.

To all who knew this loving and gentle soul, I too am shocked and saddened to here of her tragic death. She was once a friend, She will forever be an inspiration. Echoing all that has been said, my memories of Molly are those of a energetic, irespressible young woman whose spirit found solace in her service to others, her love for her family and friends and her faith that love and kindness could conquer ignorance and evil. Let us each resolve that THIS tragic ending be only a passing footnote to her her life and not that which defines our memory of her. Peace and love to all.
