Video game review: 'NCAA Football' gets freshening up

So it looks like you have about 160 stories on your website. Guess 156 of them are less important than this review of a videogame! Or is there another reason it's number 4 in your TOP STORIES part of the front page?

Bad judgment! So what constitutes ranking content on a news site? Hey, it's just my opinion!

p.s. I love the NCAA FOOTBALL games and I'm a Ute man! I get the connection! Just seems there are more important stories of the day. If I want to read about entertainment, I'll find in the non-news section!

Personally, You can only improve a game over the years so much. As for me, I like EA Sports 2007 with the changes in the defense for individual coverages and player blitzes. As far as Madden goes, you can't beat 2005, after that it has gone down hill! I like the NCAA 2005 as well if you play them together, but you can't. Save your money and stick with NCAA 2007, get it at a game store used for under $8.00, and it's not aggrivating and doesn't freeze up on you in Dynasty Mode.

why is this review just now coming out? This game was released on July 15th. Shouldn't he be reviewing Madden by this time?

I agree that most of these games haven't had breakthrough improvements in years. I loved Madden and NCAA '05, and the '08 versions are great, if only to get the oval Y back on BYU's helmets.
I think this writer hasn't been playing the series much, because all these "cool" things he reviews have been on previous versions of the game. Get someone who can actually talk about game play!
The only cool thing about this year's game are the stunning graphics. Saturday night in Death Valley (LSU), or a day game at Neyland, or heck, even Edwards Stadium make this game feel a little more real.

Video game blogs and reviews here are terrible. 6/7 is info on sports games. Did all the "game crew" at DSnews just fail to qualify as sports writers?

bleedkentuckyblue misses the point. There are people who didn't buy the game for 07 and want to know what is in 08. I skipped 07 because everyone said it was the same as 06. I'm glad you aren't writing reviews or I'd only know about the things you think are cool and not what everyone might like. BTW.. the real blue is BYU. Kentucky is a terrible football team.
