This is the first time I had watched Next Food Network Star and I watched it because Kelsey was on it. Even though she didn't win the competition, I still believe she has a good future ahead of her. The judges seemed to think that her young age was a disadvantage, but I think they missed a real bet because Kesey would have brought a younger audience to the network.

I forgot to vote, but I am glad that she won, but what I hope is that they will give her a show, she would do so well with kids. Good luck to you Kelsey and congrats on being so likable and real.
I voted for her! | 3:49 p.m. Aug. 7, 2008
I voted for her just because she is LDS, even though I thought there were better candidates... Just like I voted for Mitt Romney. Go LDS!

I voted for her just because she has blonde hair! Go Blondies!

I love Utah. And I love Mormons. But I think david archuletta is too femmy and lame. SO there you go I don't watch the food network because I live on twinkies and Nilla Wafers.

Kelsey made a few goofs but the Food Network judges made the biggest one. The guy who won should have been eliminated in the middle rounds. He was a dud next to the firecracker Kelsey.
Kelsey was too perky | 5:00 a.m. Aug. 8, 2008
I too love Utah and Mormons, but Kelsey was way too perky. I had a hard time watching her. She has potential, but she's got to improve the TV makeup and tone down the wattage on that personality just a little. I know she's probably that way in real life, but it came off over the top. I'm glad she won where she did, she'll do fine in the future. She's on a learning curve.

The entire food network show was rigged from the get-go. They already knew who they wanted and even though Aaron ought to have been eliminated early on, they didn't do so 'cos they had an agenda driven goal and used TNFNS as a vehicle. In fact, it was evident early on by comments made by the judges, that they wanted him (not anyone else) to win.
That was the first time in the show that the audience didn't get to vote, because the judges weren't interested in a genuine competition; they were just going through through the motions.
Kelsey ought to have won, which made me that much more upset at the way they treated her. She had more knowledge and on-screen personality than most of the others.

Are you serious? Somehow I doubt it, and think you were just trying to stir up angst against Utah Mormons! Or were you just trying to ridicule them?
Just because someone is from Utah or is LDS, is not a reason to vote. Vote because the person, in your personal opinion, is the best for the job, or reality program!
I think you were just trying to be funny. Hope so -sorry - you failed.

Cool, I'm glad she got the loaded kitchen. Wish them well, and hope they will be happy in NY. I'm sure she will end up with her own cooking show anyway. As for the other dude from UT that isn't mormon... most of the people reading DT are, so that's just they way it is with comments on here. It's not a whole UT thing, there are PLENTY of non-mormons in UT. They, apparently, must not watch that show. So stop boobing over nothing.

I disagree with the comments on Aaron. He is exciting and fun to watch. His new show is a favorite of mine already. I think they finally got it right If you notice the winners from first season and last year are not on anymore. Guy Fieri and Aaron are the type of personalities that make you want to watch their shows.
