"Mitchell has developed and documented an ambitious long-range plan for Springville's football program"

Something that has not happened on the hill since 2004.

Ladies and Gents, I would like to introduce you to the next head coach at the University of Utah.

My suggestion to KYLE, get an application in for Defensive Coodinator ASAP.

Poor little ute fans. Scott will be here a long time. I hear talk behind closed doors that the U of U might just cancell the whole athletic program on the hill.

With coach Bills back on Defense, I see timpviews run coming to an end. Then in two years we land Coach Bills at mapleton.

Springville plays in a tough region this year...but there is hope next year.

They have to beat Timpview (not happening), Provo, and Spanish Fork. Good luck.

Mix in a salad every once in a while, yeah?

Just saying.

Mitchell brings a great atmosphere into our practices and I know he can turn our program around. We will have a better record than last year and that is a garuntee!

refreshing to hear such candid honesty

I'll tell you what's sorry. Your sportsmanship and character.

I wonder why I read this rubbish. Scott I hope you can accomplish two things during your run at Springville High. 1) Influence the kids to become men that can contribute to society and 2) teach them that being a winner is a state of mind and not the score.

I am a life long BYU fan and I have only one thing to say... Good luck Coach Mitchell, I hope it all works out for you and your family. Thanks for being an example.

I admire Scott for doing this. He will be a role model and leader of youth in Springville. He certainly didn't come for the money.

Sorry about that top of the list comment. I was having my PMS episode but now I'm better.

Good luck Scott. You're a class act.

you're gutless!!! Give springville a chance. They may not be the top of the heap this year but I believe that they will make great progress. They have a great staff in place. Coach bills is a seasoned vetran. The new OC, Ed Larsen from Ricks, Smow, and Dixie State college has produced more JC all american QB's than anyone. He will bring an offinsive juggernaut to the Red Devils. An As for Scott Mitchell...He'll be the glue to bring it all together. Good Luck Springville. Kick Some Butt!

Scott is not only a great football player, he is great person. I wish him the best. He will be GREAT for the Springville Red Devils. Sorry, I do have to cheer for the Spanish Fork DONS though....

Its nice to see Scott finally finding peace and happiness in football. His pro years were at best disappointing.

I'm from Davison, MI where we live and breathe football. As a youth coach I understand the hills he will have to climb year after year.

The best coach in the world will not turn a program around. You will need some talent. Good luck Scott!

Good luck, Coach Mitchell.

My advice? Get a youth football development program in place. The inner-city four-team play is doing nothing to keep the talent pipeline full in Springville. Most coaches play their best players both ways, leaving many kids standing on the sidelines. That's the biggest problem with Springville athletics right now... coaches are so focused on the few semi-talented players and milk them for all they are worth. They don't do their job and develop as many kids as possible. Then when the little bit of talent they have gets hurt or transfers to a better program, we're in trouble. Give every kid who is interested a chance to develop and show what he can do. Oh yeah, and ignore the parents who bribe and kiss butt to get their kid an advantage. Promote the kid who does it on his own without dad and mom pimping him out.

Well they have changed the youth football program, but I can say that the new Freshman team has a large amount of Talent, and they were produced by the old City League
