Hopefully this means jobe for american workers and not the illegal foreign nationals. Every time Utah offers incentives to business for jobs it turns out to be jobs for the illegal aliens and illgal foreign nationals. The real incentives for any business to move here is their rights to demean its workers and pay them substandard wages. Workers cannot organize or demand far wages for fair work without state sanctioned retribution by the employers. Then there is the freely abailable tax exempt illegal alien workers readily available and sanctioned by the state. Business also loves the fact that Utah takes open objection to federal laws restricting and obeying federal labor laws. Business loves this state for that reason and the incentives are a bonus cash cow. Utah has given up its sanctions as a member of the United States and becoming the state of UMEX, an independent and unsanctioned member of the country of Mexico. Where illegal mexicans are taking Utah and turning it in to a national mexican treasure where any illegal mexican is welcome and gets subsidised housing, healthcare, and welfare. All objections by americans are called racist and punishable by the Umex state legal system.

How can anybody be sure wages from those proposed new companies will be 50% higher than the median average? All those financial incentives may appear attractive for corporations to base their operations there, but wouldn't those board directors just pay their employees the median wage and pocket the rest as executive bonuses golden parachutes?

It's easy to give $$ away.Is GOED creating jobs and training for Utah residents or just rewarding big companies for creating jobs that require recruiting out of state? Is that really success for Utah people? Is there a guarantee for Utah people? Is there a plan for Utah's future that GOED has prepared? Will Utah people continue to be call center employees and have the good jobs go to those from out of state? What is the vision for Utah in the future.Isn't it time GOED present their plan on how Utah will continue to grow and prosper rather than just take credit for the success of the past? Why is GOED involved in HealthCare solutions? Shouldn't they be focused instead on economic development?

I know nothing about any of these c0ompanies or their operations but I do see the name of Adam Aircraft and they went bankrupt. I don't know anything about them either.
Perhaps with the same "incentive" money we give to others, would they still be in business and their employees would not have gone through the trama & the State would have not paid unemployment to them.
Maybe Ogden didn't want to keep Adam Aircraft, but I do think that we should consider working with existing businesses on the same footing as we do with others. Sometimes we make existing businesses pay taxes to help others who will compete with them.
Usually it is difficult for store A to sell a gallon of groceries and charge enough to pay taxes while store B sells the same milk but doesn't have to pay as much in tax.

Most of these companies move here, and transfer there own people from there home base, or other satellite companies. There is nothing new going on here, just a few hundred, $9 an hour jobs in the next dozen years.
Big deal.... Can't believe our leaders keep falling for this company line...

You're a Utah businessman who has employed people and paid taxes in Utah. You're company employs A&P mechanics. You have a company move in with "incentive" paid by your taxes that will pay more for the employees you have given experience. You loose employee and their experience or you costs have just climbed.
How much of the cost will you be able to pass to your customers without taking a hit?
