I'm not an avid gamer, but am married to one. I'm very excited to go to this event. Gaming has been the root of our arguments for years. I've decided to learn more about gaming so I can relate to my husband more effectively. Perhaps gaming can strengthen our marriage instead of undermine it. I'd love to share the results with everyone after the expo.

Looking forward to hearing your conclusions Camille! I've been lucky enough to at least get my significant other playing World of Warcraft and guitar hero with me.

It all sounds like a waste of time to me. Gamers usually can't ever find dates and I am surprised some are married. The video games are their dates, along with Star Wars movies and cartoons.

Spiffy you're a genius! Way to stereotype big boy! Gaming is a huge waste of time, you're right... just like golf, bowling, watching movies, bar hopping, and dancing are huge wastes of time.

You just got pwned. NEXT...

Anyways I was hoping to get in on the TF2 tourney but my schedule didn't work out. I hope this expo is a raging success and they make it a yearly event!

That was surely a typo or misquote - the dude had to know how big WoW is...

Spiffy - you better get down to GEEX and see what a gamer looks like, and the kind of people they date. I'm embarrassed for you...

Gaming is a huge industry...with all kinds of people involved. This is a great thing - to have an expo like this to give locals some exposure to some great and enduring economic opportunities.

Seriously Spiffy - get down there. Maybe you can get a date there....

I think this gaming thing can be somewhat addicting. My wife and now my 5 year old daughter play games on the computer and now on the DS. As I see them just siting and playing the games for hours, it makes me feel like they are just wasting time. I’m not sure how I feel about all this. I am a small business owner and real-estate investor and I think if I got hooked on this, I would just spend all my time on games and my business would go under. I think games can sometimes take you away from the things that you should be spending your time on, just like TV can and will. Just an idea

Spiffy and game time, clearly you don't know much about gamers. I'm a gamer and not only am I active in many activities including sports and charity events but I'm a girl *gasp*. I'd also like to say the my fiance is not only a gamer but a game designer and he's one of the most attractive people I've ever seen. I can't believe how close minded you're being. I won't even get into the fact that games can be seen not only as a valid form of entertainment but some are very artistic. Yes some more so than others but the same goes for movies.

*Closed minds go best with closed mouths*
