This program sounds awesome…but what about the expectant mothers who make just enough money to not qualify for it?

When the government says low income they mean poverty stricken. There are people who are just over the government’s threshold for low income that can’t afford to pay for everything on their own either. What about them?

I am on of the nurses in the nurse family partnership program. The low income guidelines for this program are defined as Medicaid or WIC elligible. The WIC guidelines are more liberal than some of the other programs. If a lady does not qualify for this program, as public health nurses, we are anxious to help in any way we can.
