2nd round draft picks, huh? How does Denver give up a starter who can defend and produce as Camby does in exchange for 2nd round draft picks? This is criminal and stinks of something else.

It's all about the salary cap

He is exactly what we needed a shot blacker and post defender, and he goes for a 2nd rounder. Not even a real 2nd rounder just an option to trade 2nd round picks. I wish we could have come up with something better.

SALARY CAP!! move by Denver - they wanted cap space instead of a player. My question, is do the Clips want Kirilenko in exchange for Camby and Tim Thomas? Salaries match up, LA already has a young center in Kamen and they would get a forward to replace Brand in Kirilenko, the Jazz would get a top-notch shot blocker/defender with only 2 years left on his contract (same with Thomas), and the Jazz would get Kirilenko's $15-17m for three more years off the books. Someone call Dunlevey!!

would have helped Utah a ton, but alas we miss out on another player who could have made a difference.

Teh jazz manage over many mnay years have they do not have ability to TRADE for big name.
It has never happened in their history, and probably never will.
The closest they have ever came to a big name was Horny with bad wheels,
or perhaps an over the hill gail goodrich (who never much with the jazz) and they gave up a draft pick that became magic johnson for him.
Trust the jazz to stick with what they have and never win a chamionship.
I think as fan I have gotten all I can out of another winning season and loss in the playoffs.
I am finding hard to care anymore.
