I believe this mom should be held accountable, but I do not believe jail time would be beneficial, either to her or her family. I think appropriate counseling (which the whole family probably will need) should be required to help her with her parenting awareness, probation of some kind, and I think being involved in making some type of public service video designed to make the public more aware of these dangers could be more beneficial than any jail time. She will punish herself all of her life far more than any legal system can. I wish the family all the best. I hope they will love and support each other through all of this, and forget about playing the "blame game", which serves no good purpose.

Neither the Mother nor the friend called 911 once they realized the child was in the vehicle. Do you really think she is not guilty? Cmon, this is a rediculous verdict!
