Does any one care? It's a kids game played in places where they don't have real sports. This story should get about 2 inches of print on the back page of the family & life section.

...Such an ignorant comment.

Obviously you don't care. But thank you for allowing us to see your point of view.

P.S., Wasn't Torres goal brilliant? Spain was a true powerhouse throughout the tourney.

Are you kidding me? Wayne's comment about "real sports" demonstrates the kind of parochial and geo-centric comment that makes Americans a laughing stock in the rest of the world. He's the kind of guy who would travel to Paris and be offended that not everyone there speaks "American"... Open your eyes, man, and you might actually expand your horizons a little bit.

Wayne may be "parochial and geo-centric" as you describe, but the point is that MLS soccer STINKS!! It is boring beyond belief. Some of the Euro Cup soccer was fun to watch.

Anybody who says the talent gap is narrowing between United States soccer and other places like Europe is (trying to think of a euphemism that won't get censored .... oh well) dead wrong. While maybe the gap might be getting smaller than before, you are still talking a huge difference. I compare it to the difference between high school American football and NFL football. Before it was junior high american football instead of high school football. Either way, the difference in talent is huge and I don't pay money or waste my time to watch inferior talent.

Continue watching the WNBA and leave the MLS to real soccer fans here in america. I hope you enjoy NFL Europe too!!!

The gap is a lot closer than you may wish to think...and I think that scares you to admit it.
