I don't watch much of the tour de France, but I did happen to see Landis in stage 17 where he made his great comeback. I was totally amazed at how he blew by everyone. It was so exciting to watch but almost unreal at the same time. When people started mentioning drug use, I hoped they were wrong. I still hope that it is just the French going after an american and that he really wasn't using drugs. But it doesn't look good!

Would be nice if the USADA were held to the same standard as the athletes. Then cycling might have a chance to become a mainstream sport. However there is too much "how dare you challenge us" in this whole matter.

Most likely the sad truth is the most of the cyclists of the last 15-20 years were doping. From the interviews I have heard and the stories I have read it seems to be the rules of the game. If you wanted to compete and make a living - you needed to dope. I am sure all - and I mean all - the winners of the last 10 Tours have been dopers.

Sad but hopefully at least the sport is coming to terms with what has to be done - to save itself.

When it is estimated that over 80% of the tour cyclist dope in some form, I find it hard to believe one man could possible win 7 tours in a row, without cheating.
Armstrong is no better then Landis.
