Bring us Marion from Miami. He's a winner, we cannot win with AK.
Utah Jazz (sign and) trade:
AK47 (15m, 16.5m, 17.8m)
JHart (2.5m)
CJMiles (2.5m, 3m, 3.5m)
LAClippers (sign and) trade:
CMaggette (11m, 10m, 9m, 8m)
TThomas (6m, 6.5m)
This trade rids the Jazz of AK's contract and provides the Clippers a defensive minded player in the front court next to EBrand and CKaman. In return the Jazz get another slashing offensive player that can take advantage of the modern hand check rules and ease some of the pressure from DWill. Maggette will also help the Jazz defensively against the leagues super star 2-guards that this team has so much trouble with.
RBrewer will slide over to SF and give the Jazz the cutting and finishing around the rim that AK has provided in the past.
TThomas is overpaid but his contract is shorter and much smaller then AK's and will allow the Jazz more financial flexibility in locking up their other guys longterm. Additionally, TThomas provides clutch 3-pt shooting and has proven the ability to be a solid role player on a playoff contender.
Hart has had success in LA before and may help fill their gaping need for a veteran point.
1. DWill/RPrice/Free Agent PG
2. CMaggette/KKorver/MAlmond
3. RBrewer/MHarping/TThomas
4. CBoozer/PMilsap
5. MOkur/JCollins/KFesenko/KKoufos
Realistically the Jazz would have a 9-10 man rotation with JCollins, KFesenko, KKoufos, MAlmond and either RPRice or the FA PG playing limited minutes

Sneakers did you even bother to check your figures?
ESPN trade machine has completely different figures than you use for each and every player. For example they have Maggette at 7,000,000. Even with the figures you use you are trading 20,000,000 in Jazz salaried players for 17,000,000 in Clippers salaries, so your trade does not work. I'm I missing something here or are you up in the night?
ESPN's trade machine is still using last years figures. Maggette is a FA and Jimmy's figure is an estimated salary for resigning him and including him in a sign in trade.
Additionally, trades don't have to match exactly dollar for dollar. LAClippers can accept contracts up to 125%, plus $100,000 of their outgoing salaries. Thus at the salaries Jimmy proposes the Clippers could accept up to 21.35 worth of Jazz contracts.
If we must trade him, we have to get equal compensation. I don't want him to be the next Pau Gasol that gets traded to an elite team for nothing.
Since AK is only a contributor with the Jazz, he must take a pay cut. We can't give him max money anymore. We have to fork out some cash to keep our up and coming young guys in the future i.e. Millsap and Brewer.

Trade AK to Cleveland for Wally. Cleveland needs to win now and AK will support LeBron better than Wally ever would. I don't think Wally would help us all that much, but having an additional $16 million for 2009/10 and $17 million for 2010/11 is worth the deal alone.
Trade AK to Golden State for Al Harrington. That trade opens up $5 million this summer, $6 million next summer and $17 million for 2010/11. G.S. would start AK right away at the 4. Harrington is a versatile player who can play the 3, 4 and 5.
Both these trades would weaken the Jazz a little for next season, but Utah would definitely lose Millsap and maybe even Okur and Boozer next offseason due to cap space AK would eat up. AK is solid all around, but he's not worth the money that could go to players who are better fits. Remember that AK is a 4 who plays the 3 for Utah...
