Our system requires holding officials accountable. This can only be done if people like Ms. Clinger are actively involved in public life. Well done, Ms. Clinger. We need more people like you if government is to be truly effective.

Haven't been back to Genola in nearly 30 years--how things must have grown!
Most of the names in this story aren't even familiar--they must have let some newcomers in since we left!

It is time to make a sweep of developers who hide under the guise of being "public officials." What is Genola thinking when they vote for these guys?

Considering that Genola is the most conservitive part of the most conservice county in the most conservative state in the country and you might be able to see why they vote for a developer to be on the city council. They get what they deserve. Maybe they should let just one democrat into town to balance things out a bit or to at least be a lone voice in the wilderness to call the city to repentance.

Maybe everyone including the paper should get their facts straight before the start condeming others. I'm getting sick of people moving into a town and then think they can take away property rights. Maybe the big developers need to know how the town doesn't meet moderate income housing codes etc.
