Sorry to burst the bubble but Denise Long was drafted in the 13th round of the 1969 draft by the San Francisco Warriors. Google her name and San Francisco Warriors and you will get lots of citations.

Still a great story.

Don't know why the NBA history is incorrect, Denise even attended training camp.

Why doesn't anyone ever mention the biggest draft pick that go away from the jazz becaude of bad management: magic johnson.
Magic who? | 10:02 p.m. June 22, 2008
Magic Johnson? Who ever heard of him. The Jazz never have made poor draft choices, Obviously you've heard of Luther Wright? Well he's one player the Jazz didn't pass up.

It took me two seconds of hearing luther talk to the media on draft day to know he going to be a big bust.

Thanks scotty. YOur secrecy paid off big, that and not completing the trade for danny ainge.

It's all a conservative conspiracy led by Rush to keep the Jazz from ever winning the NBA championship.

Someone comes to rag on the article yet can't spell useless. Hilarious.

Re: Useless

Would you rather read another article about how the Jazz might like to draft Roy Hibbert?

The best Jazz pick? When Malone took out Barkley to free up Stockton hitting his 3-pointer sending the Jazz to the finals. That's the only "pick" the Jazz consistently got right.

Don't forget John Amechei played for the Jazz who was another woman in the NBA who could not make it.
LA Lakers have several women on their team.
