i think we should trade hart for chris paul then collins for dwight howard after that we still need to improve so trade kirilenko for lebron james AND Kobe Bryant in some kind of four team trade also involving memphis because they really know how to deal players over there. then we can trade boozer for garnett. then trade Ronnie Price for Derrick Rose. after that trade jerry sloan for phil jackson. and get Pistol pete maravich back in a jazz uniform and i think we will have a decent chance at a championship....

I hope that KO hasn't been so caught up in the draft that he hasn't looked at these trade possibilities. As long as Dick Bavetta isn't reffing the Finals, I really believe that a roster consisting of Paul (backed up by DW), Howard, Lebron and Kobe would have a decent shot at bringing a title to SLC. Get to work Kevin. Make it happen. Unfortunately, the Pistol is deceased which makes that part of Paymon's suggestion unrealistic, but I'm on board with the other moves.

And then !! Then we could ask the Wizard for some common sense.

Some of us like to read positive, intelligent comments. Too bad there are none to be found!
NOT KO! | 8:58 a.m. June 22, 2008
whatever it is KO, better load up. Those Blazers are coming...and fast too! Take Roy so he can "try" to defend Oden. that's the team us Jazz needs to worry about.

I hope the Jazz take either Alexis Ajinca or Serge Ibaka they are athletic, shot blocking bigs who have a big upside. We need athletic big men who can move their feet and block shots and control the paint area. Boozer and Okur are good big men but the don't move their feet(help on pickandroll)and they don't block shots.

I'd like to see a Mareese Spreights or Jason Thompson simply because they are 6-10 and 6-11, and at least 250lbs+, but super atheltic and hopefully can sguard the likes of a Garnett, Odom, Aldridge, Dirk and so on!! Boozer is worthless on the defensive side of the ball, PERIOD, and Okur is a good defender, although he has his lapses on Pick & Rolls! Hibbert or Lopez aren't a bad way to go, although, we did trade to get "FES" in last years draft, and he's an "ATHLETIC" 7-1, 280lb center, just develop the kid, and I think we'll be alright!! I would rather him played behind Okur last year than Collins simply because he's an energy guy and he blocks shots!! Trade C.J., Hart, and Collins for another 1st rounder or! Chris Wilcox would be a great pickup for us if we could get him here!! Maybe we can get a superstar from Europe in a couple of year!

If Hibbert is in fact the man the Jazz want, look for them to trade up high enough to guantee getting him. This team has a lot of options when it comes to trades and draft pick trades, but whether they choose to pull the trigger or not I don't know. If I was the man with the power to make the choice I would do it in a heart beat. Not a big change but a tweaking YES.

Trade the pick!
TRADE BOOZER! (ghost of playoffs | 11:59 a.m. June 22, 2008
Is the Jazz brass preparing for Boozer to opt out of his contract next year? He has the option and you can count on Boozer opting out to get more money or sign with another team. This just happens to be the same year DWill will get his paycheck increase. so now the team will have AK47, DWill, Okur and Booz in big money contracts with no money left over to retain the other young important pieces to the jazz team. I suggest they trade Boozer to the Heat for the 2nd pick and draft with the the that 2nd pick or trade it for a GOOD Quality PF or C.
ID Jazz | 12:06 p.m. June 22, 2008
As much as we would all like to see a big guy come in, with Collins still under contract and Memo the starter expect to see the exact same line up as last year and the exact same results. For the Jazz to get better they need to trade one of the three(Boozer, Okur, AK).
One of the statements in the article was "we are building for the future". How about once the Jazz build for the present. You have a core group of guys with talent now lets build around that and go further. You should be building a team that can beat the Lakers, Spurs, and other top teams in the west not just compete. Come on Jazz brass lets quit being happy with mediocrity and get it done.

I think we should bring Hoffa back and get rid of collins. Trade all 3 picks and move up in the draft in the first round and get a great player.
Just me... | 4:07 p.m. June 22, 2008
You must me an idiot BYU fan..... Hoffa? He is the worse #8 pick in the history of the NBA. I would rather bring back Adam Keefe then pick back Hoffa.

Hibbert seems too slow for the West Coast offense. He is probably the next Benoit Benjamin which is not much to brag about.
Though he could end up like Luc Longley or worse Yinka Dare.
Rafael Araujo | 5:25 p.m. June 22, 2008
Bring back the Brazilian!
Hahaha | 5:54 p.m. June 22, 2008
Hahaha silly BYU fan. Hoffa? What a joke! hahaha
Watch out | 7:11 p.m. June 22, 2008
If the Lakers get Bynum well and Odom is well & they both can play next year.

As much as I like the JAZZ they will do well to come in 4th or 5th. The JAZZ had better get the best big-man that is available.
Sloan Hater | 7:23 p.m. June 22, 2008
Trade up and draft Brandon Rush. He is the only sure thing to be around in the 20s.. Then spend a second round pic on my favorite sleeper.. Drew Neitzel

then

Fire/Retire Sloan

I agree Hafa should not have been a #8 pick. I'm a huge BYU fan and i'll admit that. But he is immensely better than Collins. He works hard and he is a big body down low who isn't afraid to get physical. A little rough around the edges but he works hard enough that he could develop ingto a legit back up center.
Team Player | 9:57 p.m. June 22, 2008
When several NBA writers describe Maureece Speights as "lazy", it's a pretty sure thing he WON'T make it with the Jazz. I'd be absolutely shocked if we picked him. My vote is for them to trade up if necessary, but find a way to end up with Hibbert. He's got great size, length, and stats, and he's a senior... which means he stands a much better chance than most underclassmen of seeing some playing time next year.

(Always retain Sloan!)
TR | 10:48 p.m. June 22, 2008
I've said this numerous fora, but for now I'll just agree with the plainly supoerb logic of TEAM PLAYER. We need to trade up, if necessary, and get Hibbert. He is an NBA-ready "big" man, with mobility, low post scoring and passing skills, and most of all an intimidating shot-blocking defensive presence who can help the JAZZ now!
Take lessons from Danny | 7:56 a.m. June 23, 2008
As much as you BYU haters probably don't want to acknowledge it, Kevin O' should take lessons from Danny Ainge. The Jazz should strike while the iron is hot. Pull the trigger and buy a big man RIGHT NOW, while we still have D-Will and can take the big prize. Do any of you think D-Will is going to stick around here long term if making the playoffs is the most the Jazz will ever do? In today's National Business Accociation if you don't sink the big bucks into "buying" a trophy, you'll never get one. Take lessons from Danny Ainge and Spencer W. Kimball and "JUST DO IT"!
Oh, and to all you Laker fans, Thanks for FINALLY putting away those UGLY yellow jerseys and for spending the past week under a rock, embarrassed by your team's pathetic showing in the Finals. That epic meltdown couldn't have happened to a better organization! If only Tim Donaghy had spoken up sooner so Kobe's special treatment wouldn't have happened in the Jazz series...
hammerland | 8:32 a.m. June 23, 2008
How about the Jazz taking a look at Center Kenny George in the second round...that sounds good to me
Keefe! | 11:13 a.m. June 23, 2008
I like adam Keefe! And ice cream. TRADE BOOZ FOR 2ND PICK! (BEASLY is the Bees Knees!!!)
trades | 10:55 p.m. June 23, 2008
TRADE BOOZER and one 2nd rounder to Memphis for mike conley, mike miller and and the fifth pick in the 08 nba draft
