I applaud these young people,
Their ambition.
Their creativity.

Good Luck in winning first place!

I love the fact that these two have potential to actually make money from prom. Seriously cool of them to be both unique and escape the hype and expectations of prom-

I graduated 4 years ago and my senior prom put me back $250. I am jealous I couldn't think of something this unique. Go them.

Wow! This took a lot of creativity and determination!

Oh my goodness. They are to be commended not only for such great, creative designs, but for the time it took. I cannot imagine having the patience for something like that. And their future degrees . . . sounds like they're already on the path. (So . . . how hot was that to wear all night??)

Jordan High School is not in the South Jordan...

I have two words to say. Dork Alert!!

I think these two will look back on this and wish they had experienced a normal prom like everyone else.

>a normal prom

Overpriced and overrated? I'd say these two made the right choice.
More than two words | 9:51 p.m. June 21, 2008
to My2Cents - you typed a lot more than two words. Look, if this is want they wanted, then this is what they wanted. And I think the last time I heard the phrase "dork alert" it was said by Homer Simpson. Only people who are insecure about themselves (for example Ute fans) put people down for achieving something.

Not my style, but not everyone has to (or should) mimic me. I'll vote for you kids!! Best of luck in the competition!
Stuck | 12:18 a.m. June 22, 2008
Nope, not the first or last couple to get "stuck" together at prom...

My advise son?

Take the cash and run...

I'm guessing you are sort of an egotistical jerk.

Both you and 2 cents could have enjoyed your evening a little better, you think???
Duct Tape | 12:28 a.m. June 22, 2008
Is it really prom without Duct Tape???

I taught in CA, and there was a law that teachers could not use Duct Tape to dicipline students.

To cut to the chase for you Utah Ute fans, this means... There really was a teacher out there who used Duct Tape to discipline students.

But I guess at prom...

I can fix a car, a door, a bike, a bookshelf or desk, a ton of things with Duct Tape.

I have never been able to fix a marraige with it.

Makes you wonder why use it for prom?

That's the reason they used the duct tape, because you haven't been able to fix anything with it.

Last year, my son's friend made her prom outfit and her date's (not my son)and did an excellent job. They are hot and uncomfortable, as duck tape does not breathe, but the rosettes she made were amazing! Love the fact that it wasn't a million bucks for a dress! it's a great outlet for creativity. good luck!

Safe you babbling, go vote for them online!

I liked the Article and the picture and I Voted for them, even though I liked a couple of other outfits better. They seem to be lagging behind. Dork is okey and they had fun, and something to do, and got outside the Box, but not to far. It will be a good memory of High School for both of them. They are nice kids with plans for their life and education. I had No Prom Memory but I made sure my Kids did.
