Walker is an unqualified candidate. The legislators want him because they want him to open the door for the legislature to get their hands on control of the billions of dollars the Treasurers office manages. I'd just as soon keep the $25 billion in School Trust Lands safe from our self-serving legislature. Why else would they back someone so clearly unqualified for the job over someone who is so clearly qualified to do it? When your endorsers are some of the most corrupt politicians in Utah, it SHOULD raise questions as it does about Walker.

I'm not part of the Ellis campaign at all but I'm pretty disgusted by the shenanigans I've seen at the Convention and since that time. There are some highly-placed public officials who don't want us to know what they've really been doing up there behind the scenes.

I have been campaigning door-to-door for another candidate in a different race but have taken every opportunity to sing Ellis' praises over Walker when I have the chance. It's not much but I'm doing what I can to help the best man get elected.

I find it funny that no single news story has mentioned that both Carl Empey and his wife are listed as contributors to Ellis' campaign. Why would Walker offer a job through a known supporter of Ellis'? Reporting on this issue has been horrible. This so called job offer conversation took place in January. Why has Ellis waited until weeks before the election to bring it up? This is Ed Alter's old school good ole boy network doing what they have a reputation of doing.

I have no interest in this either way but you are wrong. Most of the stories have stated that Mr. Empey contributed to Mr. Ellis's campaign. I believe the amount was 250.00 whereas the Atty General who is now being asked to intercede in the case contributed 5000.00 to Mr. Walker's campaign.I don't know where you shop but 5000.00 always buys you more than 250.00.
