I saw a report that only 36 adult men gave DNA samples. Was Merril amoung them?

The FLDS ladies are beautiful and so are their children. I know some FLDS men from Colo. City and they seem to be good pople. I say leave them alone. CPS is a power-mad agency and needs to be riened in.

Lets have you check out the wives, girl friends, and children of Convicted Felons in prison next.
We could save 100s of millions, maybe billions if we let everyone out who you thought had beautiful wives or girl friends :)

"We'll continue to conduct interviews and gather information to determine if abuse or neglect has occurred," spokeswoman Marleigh Meisner said. "If there is no abuse, we'll close the case."
Give me a break!
Tell me now who needs parenting classes? These mothers of the small children could teach CPS and the so called Judge Barbara a few lessons. They obviously never learned.
And of course...it goes without saying that if there is abuse...remove the offender(s). But, that doesn't mean EVERYONE or every woman or man on that ranch is GUILTY!
Pouring through boxes and boxes...you can find good or you can find evil wherever you look.
Get real TEXAS!

What they will prove | 7:01 p.m. June 8, 2008
What they will prove is that the FLDS practice polygamy!
While that is against the law, the mere practice of polygamy, no matter what my local newspaper says, is NOT a perversion--unless we want to declare most of the rest of the world perverted.
That would include Muslims, most of tribal Africa, much of traditional Asia, and traditional Native American tribes, historically.
To members of the LDS church, whatever our private feelings one way or the other, we have to say that polygamy is morally neutral in that at times the Lord has allowed it--most of the Old Testament--check out the 12 tribes of Israel, or the early Mormon practice--my husband is descended from several polygamous families and several who weren't. At times the Lord has condemned it soundly, especially when practiced by unrighteous men--check out those powerful Book of Mormon passages. (Have you read that, Warren?)
Wilford Woodruff issued the Manifesto not because he was bowing to political pressure but because the Lord revealed to him in vision what would happen if the practice were continued--exactly what happened to the FLDS people, if you read his account of the vision. So, no polygamy among LDS since 1890.

So Wilford Woodruff issued the Manifesto not because he was bowing to political pressure but because the Lord revealed to him in vision what would happen if the practice were continued. Since when has He changed His word. His course is straight and varies neither to the right or left but one eternal round.

They will fall back on the bigamy charges, because that is all that is going on there in the FLDS community, I mean compound. Texas bigamy laws will be found Unconstitutional by a Federal appeals court or the supreme court, leading to making polygamy legal in all of the United States thanks to Texas following all the stuff feed to them by Mark Shurtleff.
Leave them alone | 10:35 p.m. June 8, 2008
I believe it is time to leave the children to their parents to raise them without the state.
Like Willie Jessop has stated more than once if there is a crime has been committed on the ranch that does not give the state to take all the children.
Each case should be handled one by one as in any society if there is a crime that does not mean every family knows about the crime.

I had the honor to talk to three young men one age 17 and two 18 who were members of the church. It was heartbreaking and to hear the abuse they went through.
This is a scar that will take a long time to heal
These are productive young men who love there way of life they are hard working they are loving and thankfully forgiving people.
Never has such a large number of children and parents been denied their rights.
And the governor even now still dfends the CPS actions what a dictator.

Haven't you read the Bible deeply enough to notice that the Law of Moses was superseeded by the Gospel as taught by Jesus Christ? God doesn't change--but he gives his laws to his children as they need them--a people coming out of 600 years of slavery in Egypt weren't ready for the higher law, as evidenced by the Golden Calf. The basic principles of God don't change, but application may, if He so wills it.
None of which justifies what CPS did in Texas!

Even Flora Jessop agrees that Polygamy is not illegal, BIGAMY is. Perhaps you should research the difference between the two.
The state says you CAN'T be married to more than one person at a time. Thus, the only thing the FLDS do in the eyes of the state is have a lot of girlfriends. That is, unless they try to REGISTER more than one marriage legally, for that is what "legal marriage" is, the registration of marriage.
Most Polygyny advocates such as myself, pray for the successful conviction of an informal polygynist on bigamy charges. At that point the appeals process that will go all the way to the SOTUS will begin and we're confident that the conviction will be struck down. As long as gay men, lesbians and BISEXUALS can do what the do with impunity, then there is now way that a polygynous man who did not register his marriage can be convicted of ANYTHING.

That's right, Hugh. That's why Utah and Arizona have been very careful about those they've prosecuted. They know that if they arrest a couple of consenting adults practicing polygamy that polygamy would no longer be illegal. The SCOTUS would have to rule in favor of the polygamist.
Think!!!! | 9:50 a.m. June 10, 2008
The FLDS people have had their rights violated in more ways than can be named. To think than the CPS can take a child to "some place for evaluations" is just another form of ABUSE! What child would not go into a total frenzy by them going into their home AGAIN and telling the child that they will have to go with them. Think about it! Last time they weren't going to give them back even though the sheriff promised they would be back in an hour. What child is going to go with them now without being traumitized. Please sign the petition to impeach Judge Walthers. Type in "impeach judge barbara walthers" and you will find it. Please contact your representatives to change the laws regarding the CPS!!!! Rick Perry takes all the blame, then don't vote him into office again to continue the breachments of the Constitution that he swore to uphold.

You can have as many wives as you want - no one cares. Just stop abusing and stealing the futures from your children and we'll leave you alone.
But filling their heads with ignorant claims of the evils of the world, and creating an environment that prevents realizing their full potential, is a violation of their civil rights and is ethically and morally wrong.
Quit being such lousy parents and actually raise some free-willed children.
If you can't do that, then quit making babies (especially with 13 yr olds.) They just end up as little mini-me clones with no minds of their own.
You can be a polygamist without being a robot. What a concept.

realitycheck,
Can you please supply me with a list of all the pregnant 13 year olds in the FLDS community? Thanks!
I was wondering, do you not teach your children that the world is a dangerous place? Is it your position that the world in not full of evil?
It seems that there are some that preach free-will, but will then try to force others to believe a certain way. I think you may be a little envious of Warren Jeffs. If only, realitycheck, you were their prophet, and they followed you in your sin and perversions. Unless, of course, you don't have any sins or perversions. :)
