On the other hand, I am sure that the bees are in great need of water given St. George's heat. The farmer would be smart to provide good water sources near or in the hives so that the bees would not need to travel to the neighborhood pools etc. The farmer would be a better neighbor and his honey production would increase as the bees would not have to travel distances for water and could spend more time gathering nectar.
There needs to be a law protecting agricultural land as it is quickly disappearing. Often neighborhoods make it so bad that the farmer finds it easier just to give in and sell the land to someone to subdivide. Additionally, bees need to be protected as they are a quickly dwendleing resource and are needed for crop pollination. Even innercity bees play an important part of our ecology and enhance city gardens.
