Although China should proceed with the Olympics, I would also like to see them out of Tibet. They never should have invaded this peaceful country!

To better describe the group of a small number of people that she represents, we should use the words like “crying baby”, “little brat” and “renegade teenage”. They don’t want to live with their family, and they want to seize the house for themselves. Tibet does not belong to them; it belongs to China. People should have no sympathy for them. If they want to live on that land, they must live among a family of ethnic groups in a multicultural society. There are so many ethnic groups in the world. Not single one has the right to claim any land; only a country can. There is no place in today’s world for these single-minded people to realize their so-called dream, the dream to go back to dark ages of the past. Please stop using this kind of stories as a propaganda tool to split China.

wow, this article is so biased, Tibet today still retains its culture and PEOPLE DO SPEAK THEIR LANGUAGE OVER THERE, nothing is being taken away from them. When they DO VISIT TIBET IN THE FUTURE, THEY WILL BE SHOCKED. stop being ignorant, and find out the TRUTH.

To the above "uninformed" people: I have been to Tibet, and yes, people are expected to speak Chinese! It is a part of China now and the old ways are sadly gone. I admire this young woman's courage to speak her mind about what is happening in Tibet. From what I observed (under constant chaperoning) it is now an incredibly harsh place under Chinese rule.

Since when is somebody considered a "cry baby" and "whiner" just for exercising the right to free speech -- something that people certainly can't do in Tibet!!!

I always ignore the ignorant Communist ( like above WOW) I was born and grew up in Tibet. We have alots of those Communist Raptiles in Tibet that have been oppressing us for last fifty years. Yes Tibet belongs to Tibetans and China belongs to Chinese. Eventough I grew up under the Raptile Chinese Commuinst, I never ever once considered The Raptile Communist Regime as our legitimate Gorvenement neither do the rest of SIX Million Tibetans. Rather we the Tibetans in Tibet always considered that our legitimate Government is the one that have been re-established in Exile led by our Leader His Holiness The Dalai Lama. I don't really have to say so much here because the recent unrest in Tibet that took place in every corner of Tibet speaks itself which ruthlessly crudhed-down by the Raptile Communist regime of China. Killed over 200 Tibetans and injured thousands. So ree Tibet and China out of Tibet.

To the person who says something is wrong about somebody living off the land in 1965: Are you serious? Of course, people lived in poverty in Tibet in the 1960s. They still do. Not everyone in the world has access to electricity, plumbing and telephone service. Consider yourself fortunate!

Tibetans are being killed inside Tibet and thats the truth. No matter what, china can never take away tibetan spirit. We belive is Justice, compassion and equality. And China doesn't even come close to flowing any of these. China needs to open up to the world. We are not against the people of china but the goverment policy. Also please join us at the asian festival where Tibetans will be doing culture performance.
