The parents are blaming the bus driver? No wonder their kids are already criminals. Throw the book at these little punks and the moronic parents.

YES! Time for all these parents to have a discussion with their children and explain what an "Accessory" to a crime is...i.e. if you are there - you are guilty
The problem with kids today... | 4:15 p.m. May 21, 2008
Is the stupid parents, like the ones quoted in this story, that always stick up for their kids whan they do something wrong. It wasn't my kid, it was the bus driver. I don't think so. It's not always sommeone elses fault.

What??? | 4:16 p.m. May 21, 2008
So, let me get this straight. Many of the parents are upset because they feel their children did nothing wrong but blame the bus driver for not keying on to the extra students piling on the bus? Boy, talk about passing the blame.
Nice! This will send a lesson these kids will never forget. One obviously taught by their parents parents. On and on it goes.

Next up... a lawsuit against the idiots who charged these kids. These charges will never "stick".
Prove beyond a reasonable doubt? Not a chance.

If the parents complain find something to charge them with, too.

I doubt the prosecutor screening this case will buy this charge. If I were prosecuting this case, I would dismiss it.

There is a law on the books in most states involving drag racing.if you go to a prearranged location to watch illegal drag racing you as a spectator can be equally charged.
too bad... | 5:08 p.m. May 21, 2008
the parents can't be charged.

Even if the kids can't be charged as accessories, they should. Parents need to take some responsibility here and face up to the fines. Blaming the bus driver is assenine. How much does the driver get paid to baby sit as is?

So the bus driver asks what the kids are doing, you think there going to tell him what their up to? The kids should be accessories and should pay their own fines. The parents should tell them its not acceptable. I told my children if you get in trouble you will pay your own fines and if I have to go to court with you, you are also confined to the house for a period of time.
ridiculous | 1:19 a.m. May 22, 2008
This is stupid. Being charged equally for watching it? Talk about ridiculous. If i told somebody to go jump off a cliff and they actually did it will i be charged for murder?

You are all going off of what was reported by the media. The media reports only what they think will give them the highest rating. Not one of them that reported this bothered to get the other side of the story. There are always two sides to a story and just because the other party involved went to the media first, doesn't always mean it is the truth. Had that poor victim, who is actually the bully in this case, gotten the best of the other girl that would have been the end of it. The bully/victim's cousin is the one that came equipped with the camera. He is the one that provided the tape to the police which clearly shows the bully/victim pushing the other girl first, which Fox News decidedly omitted from their coverage to make the other girl look like the aggressor. Her mother, figuratively speaking, is the one that called police because her daughter got the worst of the fight that her daughter had originally called on. Bottom line, that mother is one that made this bigger than it should have gotten, and therefore the reason all the other kids were cited.
