So today could be the day for Obama? Could we all drop the cynicism for a minute and just reflect on the size of that accomplishment? Taking nothing from McCain, who's been known nationally for a long time, who knew who Obama was 6 or 8 years ago? He got a couple of breaks in the campaign, sure, and more attacks will come, but he overcame some formidable opponents, a funny name, an internet smear campaign and a collection of "pop gun" attacks that leave him, really, a stronger candidate. For someone with such a modest beginning, he's already done some surprising, amazing things. I can almost quote the anti-Obama posts which will follow, but I have great respect for the guy.

I have respect for the guy too, but I worry about his anti-American associations. What worries more is this change slogan. Bill Clinton had that slogan too, and what changed did he make? Just makes messes in everything was all. I never believe any change slogan; it's just there to get elected.

Any president who will not confront terrorism and its real threat on our nation is clueless. We can't talk about welfare, gas, or anything, unless we are constantly trying to protect the evil people who want to destroy us.

Yeah, Bush made mistakes with this war, but he is keeping us safe. Safety is all that matters. I hope this guy can bring this up, because it's the #1 issue of our country, and no one seems to be addressing it.

I don't respect the man at all. He benefited from the media giving him passes whenever there is anything negative being brought up about him. His campaign played race to portray the Clinton's as racists. Every time he is criticized his supporters call his critics bigots and racists. I believe the new label is "low class" if you question his wifes love for America. I am just sick of the "poor me" and "divisive" politics his campaign has been playing to win the nomination. I guess the only things we can say about Barack are positive statements. Pretty soon we will be forced to have a picture of him hanging in our homes just like some other despotic rulers do in their country. New school my butt. He is just another typical lie through your teeth, crooked old school politician.
