So what if you are on vacation. The Sabbath is the Sabbath. We partake of the Sacrement no matter where we are at. We have a very unique church. It is the same no matter where you go. So are the Temples.

We try our very best to make sure we go to church if there is a meeting house where ever we are, if there is not we make sure to have scripture study as a family. Only times we have missed church is when our kids have been born all of them have been born on a Sunday....

A wise man once said: "Man was not made for the Sabbath but the Sabbath was made for man."

I live in Hawaii so I consider every day a vacation but what I find so inspiring is in our ward on most Sundays we have tourists attend our sacrament meeting. I think it takes faith and commitment to take time from an expensive vacation like coming to Hawaii to attend church. I know those peole are faithful members in their home wards. When my family comes to visit me here they try to do things on Sunday that don't cost money. We have a rule that there is no swimming on Sunday. I grew up in a family that went camping frequently in the summer and we always had to find a ward to attend when we were out on Sundays. I thank my parents for being such great examples to us. I think it shows how commited we are to the gospel by how we act on a Sunday while vacationing.

Our family tries to attend church where ever we are. Some of our favorite vacation memories are attending church in remote wards, in small towns. We avoid driving long distances on Sunday so we don't have to buy gas (that's not always possible). We pack a cooler with milk and orange juice. We take sweet rolls for breakfast and sandwiches and beverages for other meals and snacks to eat along the way so we don't have to eat at resterants. We try to take Sunday appropriate music to listen to.

No, it isn't. The ordinances and priesthood authority are the same. Everything else is different.
