Sluggish as they may seemed during the game, Real had a few scoring opportunities which could have determined a different outcome. Javier Morales was surely missed. Mantilla's unfortunate, and unintentional, hand within the box sealed the deal for Colorado. Real should win the next game when Colorado comes to town.

We really missed Morales last night. Is he going to be well for the Dallas match?

- Findley played for about 22 minutes and I think he touched the ball twice, and those were back-passes. He did nothing to increase our attack.
- Dr. Who? not goals, if the ball isn't placed on the mans dome, he is worthless, and slow as tar.
- Mantilla, are you serious, put your freakin' hand down, did you think no one would see you reach out and grab it?
- Defensive Corner Kicks, do none of our defense know how to jump, or get a head on it. This is why I think Olave is a better center back than Mantilla.
- Sietz, when he gets back, I think its time for him to get the start.
- Cutler, meh, not bad, not good, just kind of there. Is that the kind of player we want starting in our midfield? Can't wait till Morales/ Sturgis are healed.

Give Cordoba a chance to create something. He has done well with the reserves - RSL definitely missed Morales...Mantilla and Wingert were also not very sharp. Time for Olave to hold down the CB spot next to Borchers.

I don't think is playing Kenny Deuchar properly. If you watch bigman-smallman tandems, they usually lob to the head of the bigman so he can knod it down for the little man. Why does RSL keep playing to the feet of Deuchar? anyone? anyone? At least 50/50 it to his head.

That was the first time I've seen an entire RSL game this season and it was very disappointing. The attack is very unorganized not very fluid. The only chances they had were off set pieces.

I don't think the defense is the problem, I think the attack is not strong and is unorganized, in such circunstances defense can not do much more.

Sluggish game. That is alright. I still think RSL is a much improved team this year. If they can get their confidence on the road, they will be tough to beat. Keep working hard RSL. It will payoff on the long run.

U.S. Soccer is very mediocre and needs to improve the quality of play before calling itself major league. RSL couldn't compete in the Champions leauge for the EPL.
I love Beckerman's play. Defence was soft especially on the ends. Talk about poor passing? Whew. My daughter's U10 team takes care of the ball better than those supposed "professionals."
Love soccer, but raise the quality please.

Long Run... | 1:36 p.m. May 16, 2008
...how long of a run do I have to wait? will the other fans wait? We are a "need it now" kind of people, and Kreis is not filling my "need" bottle.
New Stadium = very exciting, but what if we have to start all over, learning how to play on a wide field that isn't turf. What if the only reason we get a decent result at home is because Rice Eccles is so foreign to other teams.
Love, waiting and worried

Quality? | 2:31 p.m. May 16, 2008
I can't believe the lack of quality in this team. Terrible first touches, medicine ball passes, no offense, sluggish defense, totally direct football, no creativity. Besides Beckerman this team is not fun to watch at all.
It is too bad we had to trade Belouchy for Beckerman because the two of them together in midfield would do wonders. We need a creative attack minded midfielder to play alongside Beckerman and spark the offense. Andy Williams, Wengert, Talley, etc. just aren't cutting it.
If the team continues on this way I say replace Kreis as well. Referees aren't keeping us down. It is our lack of quality.

We really miss Morales when he is out. He has a great understanding with Espindola.
The thing that kills me the most about the loss last night is the complete lack of effort in the second half. I think Espindola was the only RSL player who actually sprinted in the second half, every one else was walking (with an occasional burst of slow jog.) Kreis promised to put a team of competitors on the field who would never stop scrapping for a win. After 45 minutes, there was only one team with any fight and they weren't wearing white. We weren't close enough to our marks in the midfield to even challenge for the ball. We weren't even close enough to foul.
Kreis has talked about playing the same way on the road as we do at home, but so far it has not happened at all. Instead of moving into their half and applying pressure to the ball, we sit back and give them all the space they need to build attack after attack. That was the most frustrating game I've seen since 2006. Let's hope Sturgis and Morales get healthy soon so we can put some wins together.

One question....can a coach sub himself out of the game?
Newsflash | 6:15 p.m. May 20, 2008
Attention dozens of RSL fans: RSL will be gone soon and we will no longer be robbed of our tax revenue. Get used to disappointment.
