Thank you for this article. Now, Utah needs to take the next step. It's leaders needs to put the needs of people with disabilities higher than their own. Acceptance of disability as a part of life needs to become more accepted in Utah...and schools need to become fully integrated and built upon inclusion--rather than still keeping these many students segregated into special schools and special classrooms. What would it be like, if Utah was one of the first states in the nation to not have any institutions for people with significant disabilities--but even better than that....what would it be like if Utah also fully funded community based services. What would it be like if people in Utah fully accepted their neighbors no matter their ability levels--and did everything possible to include everyone? Wow....we have come so far...but let's not think we're done!!!
