I think Greenspanese and Bernakese should be taught in schools as a foreign language. During the real estate bubble, the only test most applicants had to pass for obtaining a mortgage was to fog up a mirror. Bernanke is trying to tell bankers they actually have to be a little more discriminating now that the bubble is bursting. He knew what was going on before, but he's just trying to cover his tracks by rewriting history.
