Nice thing about this is, that David already won. He is just very happy to be singing and the result does not really matter to us. God be with you David.

I am so EXCITED for David A and next week I will be voting, voting, voting!!
Virginia Fan | 7:03 a.m. May 15, 2008
I agree, David has already won. As he has shared his gift with all of us, out of pure humility and gratitude, this has shown us who he really is as a person. A man of character and maturity, with superb talent -- something American's hunger for on television these days. Congratulations David Archuleta!
Chuckles55 | 7:07 a.m. May 15, 2008
Gee, Heck, Gosh! Go for it David! It's fun to watch someone wholesome and full of life do as well as David Archuletta has done on Idol. As a grandparent, its great to have a positive role model for young people to emulate. With all the Britney and Mylie wannabes walking around, my children can now point their children in the direction of the TV and breathe a sigh of relief that David A. is a positve breath of fresh air.
AI Watcher | 7:20 a.m. May 15, 2008
May the best David win, Good Luck to both of you. I will be glad when it is over so I will not have to hear my neigbhor talk about it any more , Good Luck ,

Congratuations to
David Archuleta. I have hoped that you would be able to stay on A.I, but I do believe that you are no match for David Cook.
jackie | 7:33 a.m. May 15, 2008
Ryan did not say that this could be David's last time on stage cause he was in any danger of being eliminated, it was the same banter that goes on every week. David has never been in any danger, he was destined for the finals all along, neither David has been in the bottom for the entire season. They are both talented and will both have great careers but I think David A. will take the crown
Thankful mom | 7:34 a.m. May 15, 2008
As a mother of seven I just want to say thank you for setting such a great example for the youth of today. No matter what happens next week you are what an Idol should be. We have enjoyed watching you so much. Good luck and God Bless. My son wants to hear you sing "I am a Child of God."
Who Should Win? | 7:49 a.m. May 15, 2008
Expect Simon to ratchet up his criticism of Archuleta next Tuesday, regardless of how well he sings and how much Cook growls, howls and screams. Simon wants a rocker to win this year and is still embarrassed that Chris Daughtry did not win Idol but ran away with post-Idol accolades and CD sales. And wasn't it Simon who constantly urged the public to vote for Ruben over the far more successful Clay Aiken?

Despite Simon's efforts, I expect Archuleta to win this year. After that it will be up to Archuleta's song choices as to how far he goes. I would like to see him put together a band of the best songwriters to give him some great hits. Good luck, David Archuleta, from a former fellow Spartan.

way to go David A.. I hope you win.. However I think Murray high has gone a little over board. My student who attends Murray came home saying that a VP and other staff members were handing out vote for David fliers.. they need to realize that their are tons of really talented students at the school in all areas. Lets give them credit too. I don't see this much support for any of the sports team, or choir or anything else for that matter.
Walkon | 8:18 a.m. May 15, 2008
I want David A. to win but if it comes down to shelling out 20 clams for a CD? Well I'm going to have to opt for David C. - Sounds a little hypocritical, I know. Bottom line? All three of the finalists have enormous talent and a great chance at commercial success.
Gretzky | 8:20 a.m. May 15, 2008
this is the best thing to hit utah since the olympics. Congratulations Little David and thank you for being a great example to other teens! It means alot to the rest of us. Thanks to your parents as well. Good Luck next week!
Cook Fan | 8:37 a.m. May 15, 2008
David Archuleta is typical of many Mormons who feign humility in order to appear meek and mild and wholesome. It is all a big act that they are trained in from the time they are young children. Frankly, I find it extremely annoying. Sometimes David A. acts like he has an I.Q. of less than 80! “Gosh!” He may be an adequate singer, but he sure won’t win any points with his intelligence.
Robert | 8:37 a.m. May 15, 2008
The program is fixed, we already know that David is going to win.
katie | 8:46 a.m. May 15, 2008
you have my vote
Traci | 9:04 a.m. May 15, 2008
I know David Archuleta is going to win this season of American idol! I wish I could meet you sooooo...........bad!!!!! I think you have an AMAZING VOICE and I listen to yuor music ALL the time! I have your videos on my computer that I tape every Tuesday and I watch them ALL the time also!!!!!!!! I can not wait to go out an buy all of your cds.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DA better step it up! | 9:20 a.m. May 15, 2008
If Randy's dawg doesn't bring it up a notch for the final, I'm afraid his naive humility, will leave him wondering why he lost, because Simon has plainly made it known that his horse is KC/DC.

I can hear the excuses now, "oh, he is still young..."

DA's only hope is that there are more "tween" voters than those who like the older rocker.
Abee | 9:21 a.m. May 15, 2008
I honestly don't think Archuleta is feigning humility. He's young, LDS and naive about life in the fast lane of show business. His humility is real. I love David Cook's rocker style, I love
David Archuleta's velvety voice. Either one could win and I'd be happy. Both are intelligent, humble and can sing. Too bad "Cook Fan" can't see it all. I have no clear preference here. No matter who wins, they are both winners in the world of recording contracts and money. Let's hope they don't lose their humble and sweet personalities along the way. God Bless them both.
Good Luck to David's | 9:23 a.m. May 15, 2008
I am a fan of all three! I am impressed and amazed by the quality of the three top vocalists. They are very different in voice and style. We have the winners of their style already!

I think that Syesha will go farther than either of the Davids in her career. She has amazing R&B talent, as well as making the ballads croon. She is very attractive, and has a great stage presence. What a performer!

David A has an incredible voice, but will not have the great appeal massively for quite as long. More along the lines of Josh Groban, who is great, but isn't for taking the world by storm.

David C is an incredible rocker. That is his niche and genre. He will go far, but I don't see him as a solo recording artist making great strides in the world. Maybe lead singer in a strong band.

Good luck! I am impressed by all three. No wonder it was so close!

Oh my goodness, he made the finals. Oh be still my heart. Nice kid but come on.................Get a life ladies.

Cook Fan and Robert, Gosh Darn, Shame on you, such sour grapes!
Wilma Aebischer | 9:38 a.m. May 15, 2008
Thank heavens for a young man of such character as David Archuletta. I wish my great grandchildren could have such an Idol. In my day we had Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. Both great performers, but definitely men with two different lifestyles. We could choose which we would follow. The young people today should have some of the David A's of this world to follow, and emulate. He can count on my vote. Move over Donny. grandmagreat
to Cook Fan | 9:49 a.m. May 15, 2008
Comments like that only reflect poorly on yourself, not on the religion you apparantly disdain.

I like both David's. I don't think I'll vote next week because I'll be happy regardless of who wins. I do think Carly should have made the top 3 over Syesha, but que sera sera.
Nae | 9:53 a.m. May 15, 2008
WAY TO GO DAVID A.. I have to say it that I thinkk the show is rigged a little but other wise you wouldnt alternate boy girl every other year!! Not once has the same sex won two years in a row.
Archie Fan | 9:56 a.m. May 15, 2008
I really appreciate the example that David A is showing throughout this entire process. So many comments are made about his quirky smile - that is humility! We don't see too much of that these days. David is a wonderful young man with a terrific talent. I would love to see him win this whole thing! I agree with the comment from the "thankful mom". I would love to hear David sing "I Am a Child of God" or "A Child's Prayer". Good Luck David in all that you do! Stay the way you are.
Phoney David | 10:02 a.m. May 15, 2008
Either David A. is actually humble or an incredible actor. I don't see any Acadamy Awards in store for him so...

Fun event. AI is really careful in managing their brand. That's entertainment

Cook Fan
Are you so desparet for Cook to win that you have to personally attack not only a young man but his faith as well, or are you just fishing for reactions? Which ever David wins will win on talent and fan base and both will have a great career because they are both great. We all know that you don't have to win to make it big after American Idol. David looks genuine to me and as far as talent is concerned his voice is incredible and can stand on it's own.

To Nae:

Season 3 winner, Fantasia. Season 4 winner, Carrie. So much for your conspiracy theory.

We love you, David.

I love the humility that you, David Cook, and Syesha showed during your competitions and especially the way you feel towards one another! You are great role models for younger and older people alike! We need more of your refreshing humbleness and love for one another. I am grateful to you for the life you live and hope that you will always stay as fresh and wholesome as you are now! Good luck to both of you Davids!!

True, Murray High has many talented students. But, how many are in the national spotlight like David A.? A call to "vote for David A." is not necessarily a call against other talented students at Murray High. Who else at Murray High -- sports teams, choirs, or individual students have put Murray High in the national spotlight as David A. has? The current enthusiasm will be short-lived as life moves on. Let them enjoy there "life in the sun". There is nothing wrong with school pride in one of it's own.

This is indeed something Murray should be getting behind and in a big way. This is HUGE, not just for David, but for the community and the school. Yes, I believe there are many talented people at Murray High in other areas. That doesn't mean we should ignore the accomplishments David is making. Enjoy it for what it is and quit whining about what it isn't.

I am sad Syesha is done. She was the best one when you look at all around performance, stage presence, demeanor. The 2 Davids really annoy me with how they dress, especially David A. You'd think that for something so important like performing live on TV for millions that he would not dress like a complete scrub. He is very humble but that doesn't mean he has to dress bad. Just cause you are humble doesn't me you have to have no self respect. Dress up and look presentable kid. You have an incredible voice but your dress doesn't reflect it at all. I am not saying that you have to wear a tie or a jacket or anything like that but please don't wear those hideous shirts. I predict that in 5 years from now Syesha will be the biggest artist of the 3. All are very good but Syesha was the most complete.
lucybelle | 12:16 p.m. May 15, 2008
Hey "Cook Fan"! How rude you are to both David A and the LDS Church. David is who he is - "humble" etc. You seem like one of those who needs to tear someone down to make another look bigger. It doesn't work. I just makes you look small.

David A is so refreshing and a great roll model for his peers besides being a WONDERFUL singer.
Melva McKenzie | 12:26 p.m. May 15, 2008
Good luck, David. You have an AWESOME voice and are loved by millions. Always stay humble and true to your faith. Doesn't matter if you are #1 or #2 - you are a BIG WINNER.
Sis | 12:26 p.m. May 15, 2008
David C will win because the judges and producers will see to it. It has been totally evident for the past two weeks.
Anonymous | 12:35 p.m. May 15, 2008
All three of them wept when they saw the support that they received in their home towns. It's so nice to see some really nice people in the top three. I can't believe the posters ragging on David A.
To Cook Fan | 1:00 p.m. May 15, 2008
Be honest that you want David Cook to win because of your personal preference in his talent, not because David Archuleta's religion is LDS. Your assumption of his genuine kindness & reception of his fans is fake because he's been trained to be such because he's LDS is uncalled for.
wow | 1:35 p.m. May 15, 2008
Both David's are awesome, good luck to them both, which ever one wins is okay with me. Keep rockin on.
reenie | 1:47 p.m. May 15, 2008
To all:

Remember who you are! Both David's are great! Stop bad mouthing a 17 yr old young man, give him enough credit for his accomplishment. No matter who wins..you know he'll be just fine. Good Luck David A.
Gosh! | 2:39 p.m. May 15, 2008
Way to go David!!! Good luck!
Juan Figuroa | 2:43 p.m. May 15, 2008
Lose David, lose! Then those nasty AI folks who badmouthed your dad won't have their evil, grubby hands around your neck.

You get a better record deal, and more control over your career, if you DON'T WIN American Idol.

If you love David A., let him have the freedom to negotiate his own deals. DON'T VOTE FOR HIM. Record producers are already climbing over one another hoping to snatch him away from AI and make him rich.

He's too good for the snakes at American Idol.
Rico | 2:53 p.m. May 15, 2008
Congrats David A., you have an amazing voice. You can't fake humility such as you possess you have, despite what any run of the mill, bash-a-mormon says.
Okie | 2:53 p.m. May 15, 2008
I hope David A. wins. I remember Simon saying on different occasions that David Cook was smug, arrogant and another word I cant remember. If you watch his face when David C. is on stage he looks so sure of himself. I love the sweetness and graciousness of David A. he is a good example for the youth of today and I hope he stays that way no matter how this goes. I just hope he wins. David has a wonderful voice to go along with his character. I very much like to hear him sing his kind of music. I know he likes to branch out though into other music and in his career he will do that. I hope he goes far and keeps his humbleness and that sweet smile. He will grow up and be more mature. But hope he still stays the sweet kind person he is now.

I am a Great Grandma
Anonymous | 3:32 p.m. May 15, 2008
I like them both, it's a tough choice. They both should be successful, albeit in different circuits. For as much preaching as I've heard on humility in the LDS Church, I think I've missed out on the acting classes. Where do you sign up? Could've used them before my mission.
Interested | 3:48 p.m. May 15, 2008
David A & David C appear to be good clean-cut young men and I hope they do well. Syesha has an incredible voice and great stage presence, but the way she has been selling her body the last couple of weeks is a real turn-off! Nonetheless, she'll probably do well on the Broadway stage. I hope David A can withstand the pressures of success in a tension-filled environment and still stay the sweet sensitive young man that he is. I agree! American teens need his type of example! Bless you, David A!
Confused ????? | 3:54 p.m. May 15, 2008
People say that those who don't win AI, don't have any conncetion with those money grubbers at AI....but if you look at Chris Daughtry's CD, it shows clearly that he is managed by 19 Entertainment and signed with RCA Records. I think they sign a management contract with 19 Entertainment when they audition, that assures 19 the rights to the artist for a period of time regardless of whether they win AI or not...this is only an opinion...i don't know for sure. Does anyone know for sure? Either way, they will have the exposure they need to do great things if thaey choose to after their initial contract expires.
