Good game PV! You completely outplayed the competition. It's a shame the opposing team had to display such poor sportsmanship. Highland showed their true colors in this game. The foul language and cheap shots were obvious, even from the stands. It's a wonder there weren't more cards thrown out against the Rams. Good job on keeping your heads Panthers and not getting involved in the garbage. I suggest the Rams go home, wash their mouths out with soap, and take an anger management class. Good luck in the upcoming games Panthers, GO PV!!!

Not a huge accomplishment against a weak region 6's 3rd place finisher. It will be fun to watch PV in a game against a pretty good Springville team who lucked out w an own goal against region 5's 5th place team. Pine View/Springville 3-1, then on to be defeated by 4A's deepest most talented team defending champ BOUNTIFUL....

Bountiful dude! | 11:53 a.m. May 15, 2008
You are biased towards Bountiful. Bountiful definately has a chance, but they need to win some tough games to do it. Everyone keeps saying the southern schools are overrated, but I don't believe that. They have taken state in several sports and competed in others. That is extremely impressive for first year 4A schools. There are a lot of other 4A schools that have been 4A for a long time and haven't accomplished what those schools have in one year. Good luck Bountiful.

No one said it was a huge accomplishment. Why can't a fan of a southern Utah team give that team praise without someone from northern Utah down-playing it somehow? I didn't see any other team put up 6 goals yesterday! I'm sure the Panthers are excited to play Springville, Bountiful or whoever else because playing the best only make you better. Its just a shame that the best team in Region 9 now has to travel for a quarterfinals game just because of an unlucky coin toss. Good luck Panthers!!!

Home field was decided on a coin toss? Ripoff! With all of todays modern gadgetry it seems we could of found a more calculated way to decide. Good luck Panthers...
Weak UT County? | 4:54 p.m. May 15, 2008
Just how many wins do these teams need to rack up before they can be considered non-weak? Springville - number 1 ranking for 2 weeks and a 15-2 record including playoffs (BTW I can foresee comments claiming the Red Devils got lucky with an own goal against Sky View. The goal happened in the second minute of the game, Sky View had only one good shot on goal. For most of the game, the ball was being directed at the SV goal. Good defense by both teams is not "luck" it's skill.) Mt.View - 11-3-3 with the lowest goals against stat in the state. Timpview and Orem both close behind Mt. View with both coming very close or actually defeating both the top ranked teams. I don't know what you think constitutes a weak region, but Region 7 just can't be called that by anyone educated.
