Where's the story on declining home construction?

The development is a big thing for Apple Valley, a town incorporated in 2004 that now has about 650 residents. Mayor Mary Reep called the Sky of Dream Ranch "wonderful."

"What's really good about it is that everybody in our town moved out there for the beauty and the quiet and the serenity, and I think that's a lot of their focus, which is very unusual with developers, and we appreciate that very much," she said.

But will Apple Valley become Hollywood East?

"It would be fun if it were, but like with all projects, you have to wait until it's there to see how things will pan out," Reep said.

650 people looking for quiet and their elected Mayor thinks Hollywood East would "be fun". Sounds like a conflict to me.

I have been telling you folks in Northern Utah for the Past ten years that I have lived down here in Southern Utah. St. George, Hurricane, Ivins,Santa Clara, Washington City, LaVerkin, Toquerville, Apple Valley, and etc. etc. towns down here. This place is nothing more than Greed! As I have called St. George, St. Greed for the past 10 years! All that matters here in one of Utah's and the Nations most pristine area's is GREED, and MORE GREED! People down here would sell their Birthrights for Money. Oh Wait, they have already done that! In a few years this place and including Apple Valley outside of Hurricane and between the Lovely communities of Hilldale and Colorado Plyg Cities. It will be a circus to go anywhere, with too many people, too many cars for this environment and just too many money grubbers! Thank goodness the Mrs. and I are headed away and out of here come August. Clear to another State that values the environment, re-cycling, taking your re-cycle bags to the grocery store and other keep your State beautiful programs. Utha's legacy: Come, Come ye people, so long as you have MONEY$$$$$, no matter the consequences!

I think this is wonderful news for Utah! It will be an incredible boon on our economy!
