It is all because of Bush and all the neo-republicans! Sorry, I respond this way to everything negative that has ever happened in this world.

With memories of 911 and Katrina, we Americans should try to do as much as we can to contribute to this relief effort. We need to set aside our partisan differences internally and those differences we might have with the Chinese Government. It is disasters like these that remind us we are all of the same human family and have the same challenges. Above all, we do not need political spin to know when suffering people need our help, whether it is genocide or a natural disaster we have a responsibility to set aside agendas and animosity to alleviate the suffering, be it manmade or environmental. Although some may care less about those abroad and wish the U.S. would stay out of foreign affairs and keep U.S. dollars stateside, it should be obvious there are more important things out there than hording our money to build our economy so we can qualify for another credit card.

Liberal Lucy is hysterical! I didn't know Bush had the power to cause earthquakes!! Like Ronald said, this is a time of true brotherhood, dig into your pockets and send your money to the Red Cross, the LDS Church services or whoever you know can get direct help to these poor people who have lost everything. Pray for their welfare, it can really help. Pray for peace in this troubled world of ours. And Lucy....wake up and help others, instead of attacking them. You will feel better, I promise.
