Hmmm, no mention of the cities that have gained in value. According to the NAR website, "The strongest metro price increase in the West was in the Yakima, Wash., area, at $148,400, up 9.0 percent from a year ago, followed by Farmington, N.M., at $190,000, up 6.3 percent, and the Salt Lake City area, at $225,700, up 3.5 percent from the first quarter of 2007."

So, I guess our homes are still going up!

Wrong!!! Prices in Utah are going down. Yes they may be higher than they were during the first quarter of 2007 to the first quarter of 2008 but if you compare it to the prices in the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th quarter of 2007 Utah is down, so we are on a downward slope. Luckily due to continued population increases and homebuilders pulling back on new projects by 60-70% compared to last year, home prices should not fall as much here as in other parts of the country.

Let the home prices fall. Down, Down, Down, until they are properly adjusted. I love it!
