Yeah, it was a hard foul, and stupid considering the whistle had blown, say what you will about the arena noise, but another laker stopped dead in his tracks, but it wasn't worthy of a suspension, plus when the lakers lose in 6, it would only be something for them to complain about! I'm a jazz fan, and the foul didn't look like he tried to put him to the floor, it was just a matter or size. What I thought was horrible was sasha vuilksdgjslkdgjds talking trash after the play, oh well.

Yes it was a hard foul no doubt and even a flagrant foul but I don't think he should have been thrown out of the game and definately not suspended any games.
Remember when a PG comes into the paint like that he is going to pay the price a big guy sees fit. It was well handled by both teams.

Turiaf must have seen the physical play at the Real Salt Lake game on Saturday night when he was there and thought that it was ok to act that way in Salt Lake. The MLS refs certainly didn't seem to mind.

First let me say my sonics suck but & im not a jazz fan, BUT i respect thier play.

Me and some buddies watched the game from their hotel in seatle. they are from sacramento and dalas tx.
WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?? the freaking refs tried to hand that game to the lakers!!! We were blown away by the terrible calls against the jazz ( in thier home court) there surely has to be a conspiricy against the jazz OR more like it one for the lakers.

The NBA should be embarassed by the terrible calls down the stretch. I thought the refs were going to wrentch thier hands when the lakers couldnt convert.

YOU jazz fans should be proud of your great team and raise some HECK about how pourly you were treated.

Iam afraid that down in LA the home cooking from the refs will out do you r team unless they are on their best game and la is off. YOU all should be outraged by the NBA ref treatment of your team.

Lakers in 6, enough said
Thank you | 10:18 p.m. May 12, 2008
Thank you Sonics fan, finally someone else gets it and isn't sitting here complaining about Jazz fans who whine.

I think the Jazz still can win but unless they have a commanding lead it will be very difficult to pull out a win in a tight game - we'll have to shoot close to 60% to do that.

Jazz in six, bring it on.

I'll just disappear into the woodwork soon enough - like all the other lame LA fans.

I agree that Ronny’s foul against Price was hard and warranted a flagrant-1, but I thought flagrant-2/ejection fouls were reserved for hard fouls in which the perp is not making a play for the ball.

Price did a good job of keeping the ball out of Ronny’s reach by using his body to shield the ball from Ronny… unfortunately that put him in an awkward position to receive the blow. That was a scary fall and I’m glad Price wasn’t hurt any worse.

I don’t hold it against the refs for ejecting Ronny based on the awkward fall, but I think the ejection was an over reaction based more on the fall than the foul.

I disagree with the idea that the refs tried to hand the game to Lakers… the Jazz and Sloan are known for their hard-nose, in-your-face D… I respect that about them, but that’s why they lead the NBA in fouls committed. So, I expect the Lakers to get to the line more often than the Jazz, and you should too. Especially when you consider the fact that Kobe is in the top 10 in drawing fouls while Utah doesn’t have anyone in the top 30

That called "star" treatment; Jazz don't have MVP caliabar stars. Jazz shot 28 free throws per game and their opponents 30. Rockets were +4 and LA is over +34 in 4 Games.

was a clear result of the whistle being blown before the contact was initiated. It was after the whistle and deserved an ejection and a suspension.
Crazy? | 11:09 a.m. May 13, 2008
The Jazz-owner calling for Suspension? Come on, give me a break! Turiaf isn't a dirty player. The intensity has been amped up in this series because the Jazz are physically roughing up the Lakers every possession. The Lakers are returning that type of play, but Turiaf got caught up with a dude that was flying out of control. Flagrant 1 would have been a better call.
WOW | 11:19 a.m. May 13, 2008
To the people saying that the Refs were for the Lakers, ummmmmm the Lakers went to the line 25 times andthe Jazz went to the line 45 times. Not sure how that is for the Lakers. Also they ejected an important player on a good hard foul. Apparently the whistle wasnt noticeable considering price kept driving himself. Suck it up its the playoffs, I have seen Kobe getting hammered everytime he drives the lane. Also Im not sure why people are saying the Jazz are getting called for bogus calls, they are the number 1 fouling team in the league. And to the sonics fan, wow what a fan. I thought the Sonics played well this year considering the age and they show a lot of promise. No wonder your team wants to move.

you should tell kobe to suck it up you come within three feet of the guy and you get a foul. he is the most well treated player in the nba. so there is no way kobe got hammered or ever will. he is just more of an acter then a play and thats the truth.

For the record... The description of Flagrant 1 and Flagrant 2 are as follows:

Flagrant 1 is a foul deemed to be unnecessary contact.

Flagrant 2 is a foul that has both unnecessary AND excessive contact.

Based on the fact that Price had been fouled and the play blown dead prior to his collision with Turiaf, as well as the fact that Price was taken out of mid air by Turiaf's left hand AND body, the call of Flagrant 2 was correct. For those who disagree, the ref's did review the call right there on a monitor to confirm the call, and the league has also ruled that it was the correct call. The ONLY reason Turiaf is getting off without a suspension is that Phil Jackson whined about it, and Price, being the good guy that he is basically said that he didnt think it was necessary. Go Jazz, win one in LA for us!
