GO OBAMA, bring America back to one country, strive to undo the divisiness that Bush has created. It will take years to undo the damage done and yes someone is going to have to pay and that again will be the middle class tax payer - not your doing OBAMA Bring respect and dignity back to the White House (Clintons can't)

We need a Republican President. Barack Obama's campaign is considering a suggestion from John McCain's campaign for the two presidential hopefuls to participate in joint town meetings and debates?. Do you know about this? On Nov. 22, Thanksgiving Day, 2007, two U.S. jets were scrambled from the 90th Fighter Squadron at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska to intercept two Russian long-range strategic bombers (strategic being a euphemism for nuclear-capable) in the skies over the Aleutian Islands as the bombers approached Alaskan air space. The U.S. F-22 jets monitored the Russian Bear H bombers at close range for a few minutes before the bombers turned back. This encounter was one of the consequences of Vladimir Putin's decision, announced last August, to resume regular strategic flights of its nuclear bombers. The Thanksgiving Day encounter was not an isolated incident. And there's no reason a version of them shouldn't be inserted into both parties platforms, along with a pledge for a comprehensive study of our nuclear warning and launch procedures. It's hard to think of anything that should have a higher priority than saving the world from inadvertently destroying itself.

Gee, thanks, Chuck, but exactly what about the incident you describe dictates that a Republican be in the White House?

When I hear of Obama's campaign for change, I am reminded of a children's story: "The Emperor's New Clothes." While the weavers were collecting bags of gold for weaving an imaginary cloth, the palace dignitaries....not wanting to be numbered as fools....pretended to see the most beautiful cloth ever woven.
"Change, change, change; bring America together." If we continue to look at this rhetoric as "beautiful cloth" will we be marching in the parade in our underwear?

Obama and all the super delegates who support him are the exact reason I am no longer a democrat. Obama has not really done much, he has questionable friends and associates and him and his wife sound like socialists who don't like America much.

Former Dem. and Reality,
I am so glad to see some reasonable and thoughtful comments here. So much of what I see and hear from Obama supporters is "Beautiful Cloth". If you research Obama (as is necessary before voting for him) you will find a cold, heartless, america-hating socialist hidden under the guise of "change". Please, before you vote for him, research his REAL positions. I think he is a fantastic orator, but there is nothing behind the words.
He is the worst possible choice for America.
What is his "vision" for a tax plan? Tax the wealthy. Guess what that does? Hurt the poor that are employed by the wealthy. The top-tier of wealth in this country didn't get there by luck. They know how to make a profit--and when taxes get too high, that means lay-offs for the little guys.
DO NOT VOTE WITHOUT RESEARCHING THE REAL OBAMA. THERE IS NOTHING OF WORTH THERE.

It's good to see the entitled Shillary get knocked out. It's been over for her for weeks- she should do the right thing and concede; but she won't- it's in her flawed and entitled character to refuse to admit defeat.
And as much as it pleases me to see Billary lose; Obama is an even scary candidate. He's an invention. All I hear is "Change". What are this man's policies- he's so vague and elusive. He's all words- and inexperienced naive people buy into his rhetoric. His actions and associations speak louder than his carefully calculated words- can't you people see that? We need a return to the true conservative values that Bush abandoned long ago. Even McCain cow-tows to the insanity of liberalism. Give me a conservative candidate, please!!

How can you research someone being "cold, heartless and America hating"? If you believe things that are as subjective as that are researchable then you aren't as informed as you think. Republicans are ruining our country and their pride and greed will be our downfall if we elect another republican president. The rich did just fine during the '90s before the Bush tax cuts and they will be fine if they are repealed. Trickle down economics is a myth.
I HAVE RESEARCHED THE REAL OBAMA AND WILL GLADLY SUPPORT HIM. HECK I'VE EVEN PRAYED ABOUT IT AND WILL STILL GLADLY SUPPORT HIM.
Go ahead and rip me to shreds, conservative Utahns may love their political views but the ones who post on here also secretly love having a few liberal Utahns around so they have someone to argue with.
