congratulations to park city. they were obviously the more talented team. our morgan team just plays with alot of heart, thats what got us this far and we almost pulled it off. the more talented team won the game, the team that wanted it more did not. but congratulations park city. it was a fun game. #5

Both 2004 and 2008 games were gifts from the ref. 2004 was offsides, the news even showed it. 2008 was a 50-50 called by the lineman after he tripped on the ball. Now im not saying Park City didnt play well, they played freakin good. They are obviously a good team if they are in the championship game. And ya they had their share of unlucky misses. But so did we. Its just annoying to see the game decided not by the players hard work and effort, but by a lineman. Pretty freakin lame. And as far as being proud of how Park City represented their city and school (For The Love Of The Game), leaning out the window jeering and taunting and waving the trophy in your opponents face shows your class very well. Haha i wish you luck in life, your players are going to need it with that attitude.

Morgan's soccer season is actually a Cinderella Story. Starting 0-4 in the season, playing their hearts out, and proving they are the best team. Who would think that any team that started 0-4 would play in the state championship game. Many believed that their season would be a long and upsetting one, but they proved everyone wrong. We hate to see the game being given to Park City by a terrible call. But that makes the story better. To be cheated out of a state championship after all their hard work and sacrafice to get there. Way to go Morgan. Thanks for the fun and amazing season. Your team is the real number one. Go Morgan Soccer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would agree that the title was stolen. I am not trying to say that PC didn't deserve it, but I would rather see the title won in some other way, not by a questionable PK with time winding down. It is too bad that the game was decided that way. But all the same, congrats to both teams.

Yes I think Park City is a very talented team... but they can't call that game a win. Park City is just good at getting in with refs. I mean a questionable call that costs Morgan the game in 2004, and the same thing happens in 2008...coincidence? I'm not so sure. What bugged me most about the game though wasn't seeing Park City getting a free win...it was seeing the horrible sportsmanship of the Park City players and then seeing them walk off with a win. They played so dirty the whole game...how many yellow cards did they get again? I personally heard the foul mouths of their players after the game and saw them rudely wave their trophy in Morgan's faces. That game really showed what team loves soccer more. The team that accepted a cheap defeat and played their hearts out against a more talented team than they...and coming so close to winning. I would respect Park City's talent if they had any class, but I think they need to be served a big piece of humble pie.

MORGAN DESERVED THAT WIN A GAME CHANGING CALL THAT LATE IN THE GAME IS RIDICULOUS!!!! I have played against both Morgan and PC and the better team is definitely Park City. They play more fluid possession soccer, while Morgan is straight chip and run. After the first round, it was pretty clear that park city would take the trophy home, with Ogden, Wasatch, and Logan losing.

to darth, read all the comments and tell me that morgan didn't deserve that game. they may have more talent, but you dont get in the champoinship by playing chip and run. ogden and wasatch had no chance at they tropy anyway. they were fourth place in their own freaking region. get your story straight

It is interesting the PC is involved in so many "questionable" or "contraversial" games. They stole it in 2004, now 2008, and against Uintah during the season, they won in mysterious 10 minutes of extra time, and then against Uintah in the playoffs, they squeak one out in OT. Coincidence, or consipiracy? Whichever it is, it is definately interesting.

How is a game that goes to 2x overtime between 2 great teams stolen. I have heard enough. Park City won...period. They have a new coach, many new players and a brave new attitude. Straight up soccer all year and when faced by teams with less skill but alot of emotion and heart they hung in there and played soccer. This is a team that will be back next year...will all of you?
