LEED Us Not into Habitation | 10:07 a.m. May 10, 2008
There are parts of the LEED program that are just wish lists for the "Environmental" Left that have little to do with energy saving.

This building and a half dozen clones won't begin to make up for the profligate waste of energy from Salt Lake's signature library, winner of the 2008 "Energy Hog Award" for worst energy wasting public building.

The LEED program is putting affordable housing further down a slippery slope of non-attainablility.

What we need here is a Utah program put together by Utah engineers, energy experimenters, and innovative & thoughtful builders. We must develop affordable sustainable solutions that are not clones of those coming out of left-wing thinktanks.

Smart Utah solutions for energy sustainability will not mimic the statist methods of envisionutah, the saltlake-downtownalliance or algore.

It's the Draper branch library in the COUNTY system, not Salt Lake City.
