Obama gets 96% of the black vote, and you think the Dem party is not already split along racial lines?

The party seems to be already split along racial lines. Over ninety percent of blacks voted for the black candidate for president of the US.

A truely color blind America would be a bad thing for Democrats. Many of their priniciples and practices are based upon race. It's ironic that the first serious black candidate for president is finding the race card played against him - within the Democrat party. They are showing their true colors.

The Democrats will be fine. They have survived much worse than this year's close primary fight. The issues of this campaign coupled with the ineptitude of GOP dominance in all three government branches before 2007 almost guarantee that the Democratic candidates will get voter attention. I don't see anyone claiming that the Republican Party is split on religious lines. I wonder what Mitt would say about that, privately, of course.

I agree, the democrats will be fine. Their duplicity on racial issues will not be given any attention and the blacks will stay on the democrat plantation.

My last post too specific for the monitor? OK, let's just say that if I were a black voter, I would want no contact with people that use a term like "democrat plantation". You see, you can't SHAME people into voting with you - you have to give them a REASON.

It's amazing to read postings by people who clearly aren't Democrats wagging their fingers about race. The Nixon Southern strategy was simple enough: round up all the white southern Democrat voters who felt they had been taken for granted by the Party and turn them into Republicans. Do this by making every appeal against black voter interests. It worked beyond their wildest dreams and turned GOP hacks into office holders all over the South. For white pundits (and posters like Mr. 3:51) to NOW try to belittle black voters for remaining Democrats is beyond silly. Black voters can see the GOP for what it is - take out Rice, Thomas and Powell and it's completely white. There is not a single black GOP member of Congress or governor. Zero.

America! Please sort it out. We (rest of the world) don't need to hear about your racial division, ok. Bloody fix it!
