Kreis's immature behavior will certainly make RSL better! What a crybaby. Learn to worry about and improve the things that you have control over, such as your team.

Get real MLS, there have been real boneheaded Ref calls recently. Fine Kreis, he broke the rules, but lets fix the root of the problem. TRAIN THE REFS!

I am pretty sure I know people who have speeding tickets that were more expensive...reason # 1,432 why I can't take MLS seriously...
Problem | 8:21 a.m. May 9, 2008
The officiating is a problem that every MLS team is concerned with and only Coach Kreis is willing to voice it. While the MLS, according to the article, has made some strides forward, but more needs to be done. The MLS needs to listen to its people, the fans and the players/coaches.

Other sports have deal with these issues of ‘mistakes’ by challenges and replays. Would it really hurt to challenge the absolute power of the center reff by changing the pace of the game enough to allow say maybe two challenges a game at the pro level? I challenge would occur most on a score anyway where play is already suspended. You talk about the ref not having a forum to express there view. Where are the coaches, players, or fan’s forum when the officiating is totally incompetent?
Mistakes? | 8:59 a.m. May 9, 2008
Referees do make mistakes, but when the mistake is so obviously wrong that all fans agree it was wrong, change your mind.
Beckham's "Indirect" free kick that scored was not called back because of 3 reasons: 1-It was king Beckham, 2-He scored on a signature free kick, 3-The referee was awestruck, star-struck & proclaimed himself "Not Worthy" to question king Beckham!
The best commercial is the one where the referee announces to all that "I blew that call! A make-up phantom call will be made in the second half of the game to even it out!"

We have had a lot of bad calls go against us this year, but we just have to be better. We can't trust the referees to get it right every time, we just need to start to make other teams pay for mistakes. We need to finish our chances. We need to keep Espindola healthy. If we can do that then one or two bad calls per game won't kill us.

Kries got what he had coming. Coaches can't critize refs publicly in any sport, well unless your Phil Jackson.

Utah dairy farmers can sponsor RSL.
That way, Kreis can have some cheese to go with that whine.

RSL and Dave Checketts should be fined for bringing MLS to Utah.
Coach Kreis | 12:14 p.m. May 9, 2008
Think about it folks, RSL has to start winning and winning big or the stadium issue will just intensify. Don't you think that Kreis gets crap after every game they don't win from Checketts. I love RSL, even paid $79 bucks for DirectKick, just to see some of their games, but it's like I told my wife, I will not go to see them in person until they start winning some games. Banging drums and going crazy doesn't mean a thing if the results don't come. That's the bottom line. Kreis knows it and Checketts knows it!!!
I will sue | 1:49 p.m. May 9, 2008
I am thinking about suing the ref and MLS for intentional infliction of emotional distress with physical manifestations. You should know why.

back to coach kreis. TYPICAL UTAH FAN NOT GOING TO GAMES UNLESS THEY ARE WINNING. Watch some EPL games. Fulham have been in the bottom three the entire season and their fans show up to every game

I understand the policy Mr. Gazidis is trying to promote, after all it is his job. But he doesn't address the specific and egregious instances of game changing calls that Kreis spoke of in the first place (i.e. Toronto and Galaxy). Nor does he explain why all the calls seem to go in favor of the MLS' pet teams (see CHI v. DC last night).
