Obama will lose in Nov | 3:10 a.m. May 7, 2008
Lack of assertiveness. He could of dealt with the Wright thing months ago but chose to wait and hope it blows by unnoticed.

Takes too long to answer questions during interviews. It may just be me but he answers questions very slowly like he is scared. It is like watching a guilty person get interviewed by the police. He doesn't come off as honest.

Paper thin resume. Hard to define a guy or know what he will do when you have very little to judge him on. Maybe that is his plan, make a good first impression, write a book, give a speech and ride it to the white house. By the time we figure him out it will too late. Poisoned by Kool Aid.

Poor Judgement. Relationships with Wright, Ayers and Rezko. He looked very disengenuos when giving multiple answers about Wright and then he finally denounces him after he hurt him politically. I love his quote in his speech "I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother". He should of added "unless it helps me politically".

How about that comment Obama made about Rush? He said that "Operation Chaos" was the reason Hillary eecked out that win in Indiana!
McCain? | 6:57 a.m. May 7, 2008
Don't get me started on McCain...

Dukakis, Mondale, Kerry...the Dems are committing political suicide with Obama. Another in a long list of unqualified, politically correct lapdogs to the left.

At least this guy has more charisma than the three previous frozen fish.

I know, I know...don't get me started on Gore...

Isn't it odd how differently people can see the same information? I see Obama as answering questions deliberately, taking time to process the questions and giving a well-thought-out response (not trying to be dishonest).

Again, I see quite an impressive resume, including understanding and teaching the constitution to college students, having lived and traveled to many countries, getting married and having two beautiful daughters, helping real people in the Chicago area, working in the state legislature and the United States Senate, writing two books, AND running for president. Wish my resume was as impressive as that!

I see him as showing remarkable empathy and compassion towards his minister. Something that was unfortunately NOT returned. I think Obama showed an amazing ability to be kind, patient, and supportive as long as he could, but when Reverend Wright became personally disrespectful to Obama, he took the proper course of action and distanced himself from a very toxic person.

You condemn him for his associations, but didn't Christ, himself, hang out with some pretty flawed individuals? Being "Christ-like" is hardly a minus in my book.

Perhaps this will help you see things from another perspective. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Hillary just makes me want to cry. With pain.

I want her to win the nomination because I think McCain will beat her. But I don't know if he can beat Obama. But I'd much rather have Obama than Clinton. I think he could actually make a decent president. In fact, I think he'd make an outstanding president if he were checked by a Republican-controlled Congress. But as long as Demos have the Congress, we need a Rep. in the White House.

*Sigh*

I just have to remember that I don't get to decide it. Just sit and watch the show.

To sob: this will be the primary issue in 2008 if Obama is the nominee - it's all about race until someone mentions race, then it becomes bigotry.

That is bigotry.

Thank you, To Obama will lose. Well put. Utahns don't get that the mood of the country is changing. It's do or die time for our country if we don't want it to continue its plunge down the toilet. I don't like to get my hopes up but Obama has an excellent chance if people stop being hypnotized by the spreaders of tabloid trivia who believe we don't have the attention span to focus on the REAL ISSUES.
please | 6:54 p.m. May 7, 2008
use "could have" and not "could of"...

could've is what you looking for.

Could have is contracted to could've...
sob | 7:22 p.m. May 7, 2008
the bigotry i refer to is about
demeaning the past demo candidates that represented the hopes of a large portion of the electorate in the past, who were thought to be sincere, reasonable, honest men nothing to do with race
your bad.
to Obama WL 9:35 | 7:46 p.m. May 7, 2008
If he was Christ like he would of forgiven his pastor instead of publicly denouncing him. Publicly denouncing or separating yourself from someone is what politicians do. Obama is a politician and like his pastor says, he does what politicians do. As far as the rest of your post, I just view politicians more cynically.

TO PLEASE 6:54.
Usually people attack grammar because they can't attack the message. But thanks for the lesson.

To Tate 1:23
Nice generalization of "most Utahn's". What tabloid trivia are you referring to? He said his pastor is a legit issue. We already know where he stands on the issues. We already know his voting record and lack of experience in the US Senate. His character (like all candidates) is fair game and if he doesn't want to be defined by other people then he should deal with things before they get out of hand. The man is a politician, he even exploited his own "White" grandmother for political gain. How about his "Typical white woman" description of her. You Obama supporters do have short attention spans. He makes insensitive remarks and you ignore it.

Sorry, that was meant to say "I view politicians as being more cynical, not viewing them cynically" Really need and edit feature for posting.

Just watching Rev Wright in one of his latest speels made me realize that Obama had to make a choice as Rev. W seems to have lost himself in his own self importance. Actually, he could easily pass for a white boy. One can understand some of what he had to suffer growing up in America when he did but it is time to let go. Some of what he says about America is very much truth and of course cannot be accepted by the good ol white boys & girls as still many are very racist. Go OBAMA and may Rev W find peace and happiness in his ministries
Oh boy | 9:11 a.m. May 8, 2008
Clinton is as oblivious as anyone I know. Declaring she is going on to the white house proves this. Little is going her way. She trails in nearly all the rest of the polls, she for some reason thinks she can change the rules of the Democrats to increase the # someone needs to win. If she is willing to not abide by the rules, that is freaky to think what she'll do when she is president. She already has a terrible track record of being a nasty and deceiving politician, but it will only get worse. Please people, just end our misery and move Obama way ahead.
