This was a good article except for when the reporter injected his or her own ideas, such as mentioning the Jazz could do something illegal to prevent Kobe from getting to the arena and possibly tying him down literally. This ridiculous parenthetical thoughts did nothing to add to the story and instead detracted from the quotes she/he dug up. I've always thought sports reporters too often stray from good journalism, letting the story speak for itself, and instead try to impress us with their vast knowledge and expertise, which they evidently must have obtained in journalism school, and their projections about the future, an exercise that does nothing to increase their credibility. What's wrong with quoting people with real expertise and letting their words stand by themselves?

Kobe wont score 40 in the series. The Jazz Defense isnt that of the Nuggets. Its way better. Im not saying the Jazz will win, but Kobe wont score 40. He will always have a fresh defender on him. That makes a difference in 48 minutes. Brewer, Korver, Kirlenko, and Harpring. Kobe will get to the line, but he will have to work for everything. If the Jazz can win the game on the boards, they will win more games than people give them a chance to.

not so fast!!! | 9:01 a.m. May 4, 2008
Lakers are in for a rude awakening by the Jazz!!! regular season is different....playoff you concentrate on one team and the Lakers are not like the Rockets which they try to slow down the tempo. Jazz and Lakers will run it up which favors the Jazz, expect D-Will and Boozer to come up with big numbers in this series.

If McGrady can (and did) score 40 against the Jazz, Kobe certainly can.

Yours was a good comment except for when you injected your own ideas, such as what someone should have learned in journalism school. This ridiculous parenthetical thoughts did nothing to add to the story or disagree with a certian point and instead detracted from other comments made here. I've always thought commentators too often stray from good agreements/disagreements with the article, instead try to impress us with their vast knowledge and expertise, which they evidently must have obtained in cyberspace, and their literary critisims, an exercise that does nothing to increase their credibility. What's wrong with the reporter adding their own analysis of the situation?

WOW... So CLOSE on that little prediction! Kobe didn't score 40.. Just 38. The Jazz killed the boards, and still fell short.

See you Wednesday!

By the way, Utah is a beautiful city.. Hill AFB is one of our best locations to travel!
