DAncing short circuits the short cirucuits of Pakinsons?
Singing is the way to beat stuttering. People who have lost thier voice, supposedly permanently can learn to speak again by singing.
Perhaps music IS a part of the human soul. Are you listening, School Boards?
Thanks for making me think, Jerry. (again)

The other week, my husband and I had the opportunity to dance together for the first time in almost 20 years. It had been so long that as we walked onto the dance floor, he panicked -- "I don't think I know how to dance anymore!"
And yet, as we were out there, swaying to favorite old tunes, watching the antics of the young, feeling the sentiment of the older, it was a blast!!!
We had forgotten how much fun it was to sing & dance along with a great band. We slow danced, singing lyrics that had meant so much to us back in our courting days.
True, I was sore the next day, but it just reminded me of how much I had enjoyed the dance -- "Boogie Wonderland!!!"
The very best thing was that everyone dressed & danced modestly! It can be done, no matter what TV seems to sell!

It was a pleasure to send a copy of this great article to Aunt Carol who at 95 still goes to the dances every Saturday at Winterhaven, near St. George.
